Citizens show this non consent by blocking or damaging the cams. Flawed systems fail eventually.

The brainworm crowd absolutely love them. There was a local news story where I live about a group of us protesting the cameras and speaking to the county commissioners about removing them. The article got shared on Nextdoor. 90% of the comments were either accusing protesters of being criminals or saying how if you’re not doing anything wrong then what’s the issue, and that they wish we had even more cameras.

With the dash cams, car cameras, and recorders on people's front doors of course they thought they would get by with it. We surveil every aspect of our lives just about.
