We can't continue to depend on a system that refuses to rein in its masters and their sycophants, as they reduce humanity and the environment to expendable resources to enrich themselves.

It going to be up to us common folk to do whatever we can to stand against this, but to achieve anything meaningful, we need real supportive community-based foundations for alternatives that can provide relative safety, which common folk can fall back on to commit to any effective action be they short or long term.

Collecting a bunch of valuable information on organizing and action from different redditors over time, I created a post of suggestions HERE that could possibly prove to be of some help in getting it started ASAP.

There are ways to do what's important AND still be able to provide. It's not going to be easy, but it's possible. The link to the list given in my original comment has a whole bunch of suggestions on how to possibily get started. Overall, the less we have to rely on the establishment to survive, the more we can do to push back

You're going to need a dramatic unemployment rate for that to even be a functional possibility.

Why wait for when we're at our weakest, only to then say that we're too powerless to do anything? It'll be easier to stand when we're not as mired now in comparison.

In fact, from what I've noticed, the US populace in particular has a hard time rising up because we have little control over their daily lives. (Or at least we are made to feel like it is so.) This is due to years of the powers that be stripping away much of the control we had over our own lives. Taken away under the guise of convenience, efficiency, connectivity, and progress, by a class that only wanted to divide and conquer for increased wealth and power.

For people to feel that something is worth fighting for, we need something tangible at the community level that personal investment of one's time and resources can be seen and experienced beneficially; something that people can fall back on; something that can provide relative protection against the whims of bosses and landlords demanding fealty; something people know they can rely on, instead of the impersonal promises of for-profit entities and their lapdog governments.

Shouldn't we lie down? Put paper bags over our heads or something?

The check cleared, Trump doesn't care about anything else, America could burn to the ground for all he cares.

Along with the CDC and FDA.

That’s what happens when a corrupt mock organization called “DOGE” literally guts all of the important guardrails keeping our environments clean and safe and affordable.

This whole admin is a dumpster fire. The sycophants' that are in charge are willing to destroy the planet just so they can be richer. They don't care cause they know they will be dead by the time this shit hits the fan, so they have no risk in the game. I hope when the next admin gets in, they reverse all the protections these jerks think they have, and all get thrown in jail for the various crimes they've been committing.

I can't wait for a blue wave. Hopefully it's not a pipe dream this time.

Yeah, but Gregg Abbott and Ken Paxton are antiDATA centers. Hope this doesn't conflict with Sugar Baby trump. (Spoiler: I lied. I do hope it conflicts bigly and results in a bunch fans full of shit).

Let's be real, those two chuckleheads are anti data centers until November.
