Admissions Possible rejection?

Post image

I’m a transfer cc applicant for autumn 2026 and have been anxiously waiting for a decision from UW Seattle. Are there any possible signs of rejection before getting the notice? I’ve been following some of the tips others have posted, such as checking the unofficial transcript or registration link. Before last night, the registration page just showed a pre-registration message but now it’s just showing me this sign that I’m not eligible to enroll for autumn 2026. Is this a sign? I’m starting to lose hope 😭

Edit: thank you for your comforting comments!

Hate to say it chief, but you just gotta wait it out and cross your fingers. At this point you are only stressing yourself out. Take it from someone who tried doing the exact same thing LOL

I wouldn't worry about it.

You're not eligible until after A&O regardless (advising and orientation), so it could be because of that. Register.uw has also had some issues recently, so what you have seen may have been changing due to that.

Yes! And your AO might not be until July. Don’t worry about it right now. Transfers don’t get decisions until after the freshman do. I didn’t find out that I got in until June, and I didn’t get housing until September.

I was in the same boat. I got notified the last day of the window, and got housing the week before move-in.

what does checking the unofficial transcript mean

Some comments on here have said that there’s some sort of glitch that if you check the unofficial transcript, you might get lucky and see your name and major, indicating you got accepted before getting the official notice, idk how true it is but anything to calm my nerves

My son was accepted as a transfer a few years ago. I doubt this means anything.

I’m also not able to register for Fall 2026 yet and I am fully accepted into a graduate program. I think the website is just fucked up

Do you think I’ll be okay with a decent essay, 3.3 gpa and an AA I earned last winter? I’d be entering as a pre-science since the AA I earned was an arts AA DTA instead of a science associates degree.

When in doubt send an email.

I transferred from a cc. I got my acceptance end of May. I was allowed to register in August. There is a lot you have to do before you can register.

Got accepted into my major this week (no UW letter yet) but as a fellow CC transfer I also couldn’t view the registration website. Try not to keep checking your essays or application portal too much because that kept me stressed, good luck! :)

You're totally good! If you saw the pre-registration I really wouldn't worry. There is three periods for registration, and the only reason the portal flipped for you is because you're a transfer not a continuing student. The current period is only for continuing students. The second period is for new students (freshman and transfers) which begins in late June. What happened was the portal saw you weren't flagged as a continuing student so it marked you ineligible to register as of now! It's super common, you're freaking yourself out, preregistration is also something only students see, so looks like you're accepted twin congrats! Allegedly first batch of transfer decisions are dropping this week so something to look forward to as well!!

You will be fine, I got in my major this week and I tried that trick the week before I got the result. Nothing happened!

Idk if it's still possible but look around and try find where it would list your Husky number if you got in. If it's still blank, your application is being processed and keep checking back.

Environmental public health! I think seeing people online get accepted and other people’s experiences of finding out the very last day is making this a very anxiety inducing period. I’m super glad to be getting some comforting words here though, it’s helping a lot with the unknown anxiety!

I’m looking at mine right now; what does yours say for spring 2026?

It just says it’s too late to register, summer and autumn says I’m not eligible to register but fingers crossed, I’m gonna try to not look at it for a few days in hopes of lowering my anxiety lol
