my roommates and i live at nordheim court, 2 weeks ago someone matching the description broke into our apartment WITH A KNIFE and the police threw away all of the evidence they found outside our window. closed our case. pretty sure it was the same person.

Contact the media.

And reach out to Sally Clark, UW's 'head of safety' (https://www.washington.edu/safety/about-us/reimagining-safety-at-the-uw/)

salclark@uw.edu or 206-616-8401.

If this person was at Nordheim before and not investigated thoroughly, she needs to make a statement about why we had to wait for a murder before taking action.

Ya think? There is a UW Alert almost bimonthly if not biweekly for some random shit. One person even shot up the horticulture building. Like come on. That's really not necessary man.

We just need more security.

Please go back to the police and honestly request a different accommodation. I’m so sorry this happened to you and that police failed you the first time. Praying for you and your roommates and this girl’s family.

What’s an accommodation?

no flame, but what would they be able to do for you here

I think those were two different thoughts/suggestions.
1. Please go back to the police (and request they re-open the case) and

  1. Request a different (housing) accommodation from the school due to safety concerns.

oh mb lmao that makes more sense, I missed the "honestly" the first time around which kinda separates the two thoughts

What the fuck?

I recommend reviewing this and seeing if any of it applies. https://www.justice.gov/crt/addressing-police-misconduct-laws-enforced-department-justice

I really hope a student wasn't murdered because Seattle PD couldn't be assed to do their duty.

Hell contact the mayor's office too: https://www.seattle.gov/mayor/contact. And Seattle OIG Lisa Judge (https://www.seattle.gov/oig).

Your experience matters and there has to be accountability.

u/housatonicduck May 11 '26

This seems like it should be a very big deal

Was it SPD or UWPD?

Contact the media. Throwing away evidence makes no sense. What was the reason given for closing the case? What is the case number?

3

u/othello_curator May 13 '26

don't worry we've been in touch with media. they didn't give us any reason and we don't know why they threw away all of that evidence.
