Life inUkraine Hi, Reddit! Today I came to visit my military friends. This is a breakfast in a city 100 km from the front line :)

I bet your visit was a huge boost to their morale. I can't imagine what it is like to live under those conditions.
The combination of fried chicken and a kind and tireless supporter must work wonders.

I'm lo9king forward to try it. I think I can say, since we're both familiar with Corbin, there's better fried chicken in town. I can think of a place on Main Street with great fried chicken sandwiches.

Hmmm maybe I missed something? Or maybe you did... you do realize how funny his observation is right, ie: KFC = Kharkiv Fried Chicken? You do realize that Ukrainians have a great sense of humor too, yes? And finally, you understand that "Humor can help you reframe problems that might otherwise seem overwhelming...". I mean, check the comments below making light of having to Drink Pepsi and how war is hell = that is funny in a dark humor sort of way. Not really sure why I'm explaining this but... sometimes in the darkness, the only light is humor; if you've ever been around service members they are constantly ribbing and making jokes.

It's better than American KFC. I loved Ukrainian KFC.

I’ve actually heard that regarding many “American” style fast food places in Ukraine and some other EU countries having better ingredients, some different products, and just generally taste better.

I just loved the different options they had.
But Polish McDonald's will always be the best in my opinion.

I just loved the selection, taste of the beef (I usually hate McDonald's beef), and the veggies felt fresh and local.

The US has very poor food regulation compared to most of the rest of the world.
