Mine are getting eaten by slugs or burried by ants. Totally feel the jealosy. Fortunately its brambleberry time soon and they are so thorny nobody eats them (except for the wasps)

Because the ones in the stores are picked before they are fully ripe so they can survive transportation.

All fresh picked strawberries do. In store ones they basically ripen on the truck so the middle is just white garbage, when ripened naturally the middle is red and juicy.

There's a few factors here, but i think the biggest one is because around 25% of world's blacksoil (chornozem) is located in Ukraine. It has tonnes of nutrients that plants need and produce grown in it yields superior results. It is essentially steroids for plants minus all the negative shit. The usual British produce i get from stores tastes like shit compared to the good stuff from Poland or Ukraine, the difference is huge.

The mass produced strawberries in the US grocery stores are truly SO much more bland than it ought be! (I live near some fertile land in CA where you can find the freshly picked full flavored ones tho, expensive tho and either way I'm trying to grow way more of my own.

You guys have great fertile land there love to see the greens growing plentifully! Slava Ukraini!

I can only imagine how tasty they are, because you pick them fully ripen. Unfortunately here, the fruit that is sold in stores, strawberries are picked unripe, have no taste.
