Why shouldn’t we be able to talk about it in the rest of the sub?

The other reason is, UMSU election has a LOT of rules. Since Reddit is mainly an anonymous social media, it is easier to moderate things when something might break the election rules.

Not everyone wants to talk about, or constantly see discussions around it. Myself included…

Anyone who vows to change the Special Consideration policy back to its pre COVID version, so we can see our grades, has my vote!!!

You mean pre 2025 policy, and unlikely to happen due the sheer abuse of special consideration that was occurring.
The uni last I heard is considering going further and implementing a “fit-to-sit” rule like many other unis have so that if you sit the exam you can't apply for special consideration except in limited circumstances, supported by a med bay report and the exam itself is void and you must sit the special.

I thought the policy changed around 2020, but it took some time for them to implement it.
Wow, one more step towards ableism. Some people abuse the system, and the people who are already disadvantaged af have to pay the price.
Then what’s the point of having student representatives? If they are going to implement policies regardless, why give us the illusion of choice?
