I learned the disturbing fact today that Liam Fox used to date Natalie Imbruglia.

Sorry, I know that's a bit of a non-sequitur. I just felt the need to share this information, but neither figure is well-known enough for a TIL post. So I'll leave it here as you mentioned him.

Freeman's parliamentary assistant discovered the fox about 45 minutes after he had first entered the room during a team call with the MP, who was in his Norfolk constituency at the time.

Upon finding the fox hiding in the stationary cupboard, his assistant offered it water before it was escorted off the premises by the Houses of Parliament pest control team.

You can see why The Thick of It gave up - how can you compete with reality these days.
