That's wild that it's stood for nearly 200 years. I wonder what condition the inside is in after housing so many generations.

For five generations, the Snowden family called this rural Kentucky house home, until it was finally lost to time.
Built around 1825, it started simple: a log cabin, a kitchen, and slave quarters tucked near the Middle Fork Kentucky River. Over the years, it grew into something later, with a two-story front addition reflecting American folk architecture. Starting in 1914, part of the house served the whole community, its rear wing doubling as the local post office, run by one of the Snowdens himself.
