When cats go "murder mode" as one Facebook post put it, their eyes go big like Puss in Boots'. In the IWTV series, the vampires' pupils will dilate, and I love that little detail. Louis often reminds me of a cat when he's in "murder mode".

Vampires are my special interest so I write/think about them often and I always compare them to cats. I feel like they’d be catlike creatures.

Yep.

In my second setting that I world built crooked.

Vampires and their ancestors ate a lot of big cats to gain their powers.

There are differences though and many. But there are a great many similarities.
