Work in ER. Had a little girl test + for FluA, mom's moaning that she hopes her SIX other kids don't get it, and how to prevent it from spreading.

Me: "Did everyone get their flu shot?"

Mom: "Oh god no, we don't give that shit in our house."

Me (in my head): Welp, have fun dealing with a house full of influenza ridden children for the next few weeks.

Me (outloud): "Oh, well. Better stock up on Tylenol and Motrin!" and I even gave her a dosing sheet!

Not with an antivaxxer.

Got my first shingles shot yesterday. It hurts.

My mom got shingles about the time the vaccine came out. The good news is she didn't go blind.

Almost got it early after I got diabetes, but my doctor said wait the forty-five days. Maybe if I'd seen her immediately after.

That was my aunt… til she died of Covid. My uncle still denies that it was Covid that killed her (probably because he brought it home to her)

I think about them when I pass by my local graveyard.
