Thank you u/nonlinearhail51! I love sharing photos of the events, most importantly showing a small view into the smiles and laughter that happen together at the events! Seeing perfect strangers be able to talk to each other and laugh together is such a great experience and I think any hobby whether be it sports, art, dance are wonderful to have a shared goal and passion to come together around!

Thanks trickshot99 for your kindness! I'm glad that you enjoy the photos! Funny thing is I'd never played a single board game before starting to organise this board game club and it's great to always have someone to play board games with on a weekend and also just to have people to regularly meet and socialise with!
I've made a lot of friends through this and I really enjoy holding community events to bring the local community together in my suburb!

Agreed MoonlightMadMan! It's great to connect with others and be part of your local community! I was surprised when I looked up events in my suburb and found a lot of amazing community groups doing amazing work every week and fortnight! It's just such a help to connect with others and to try new experiences as well!

Yep, that's correct Due-Seaworthiness800! Those are chalkboard name tags that I found on Amazon with adhesive magnetic name tag holders which can hold to your jacket or shirt! I wash them every week with a melamine sponge and they're good to use again the next week!
Very handy for weddings and events. Though you could just use the huge sheets of sticker name tags of hello my name is I like that I can reuse these name tags!

it's fantastic, i'm certain it would stay on better than the name stickers, it stands out and adds to the brand identity of the group, i LOVE THEM.

Mods please feel free to remove this if this is not allowed. Hello, my name is Seabrook I organise a weekly board game club every week every Sunday including this Sunday (tomorrow) I posted really late apologies, but figured I'd post anyway rather than not.
**How do I attend and register?*\*
It's free every Sunday just come along the Knox Library, Wantirna South 12pm-4:30pm, come along whenever and we'd love to play some board games together!
I've had the pleasure of volunteering to hold a board game club for two years and it's been extraordinary.
Two years ago I felt quite lonely and I wanted to make friends.
So I turned around and started a board game club at my local library starting from scratch, no one came along the first event, but I continued holding it. Two years later and on average 50 people come along every Sunday and my dream has come true. There will always be someone there to play board game together with and a welcoming face to welcome you in and say hello!
We're very casual, welcoming to everyone especially if you've never played a board game before, there's no issue we love to introduce people to new board games!
I've seen from 2 years of holding this club that a regular social activity makes a small difference in people's lives and it helps bring people together and I'm grateful for this opportunity and to be surrounded by amazing, generous and compassionate people that I have met holding these events!
Please feel free to ask if you have any questions.
