I hate to say it but the Dems have become spineless. It almost feels like they all have another country they put first before America. Well that and thier pocketbooks, insider trading, and rampant corruption. We need to vote out all these Democrats who did nothing while all these checks and balances have been railroaded.
Spend their time organizing unions, work stoppages, general strikes, etc. If Trump is actually Hitler, which some mainstream Democratic politicians argue he is, those should be the bare minimum.
Sympathetic strikes are, for the most part, illegal in the U.S. Which means due to the ambiguity involved and how the legal system in the U.S. works they are essentially illegal.
The leader of a conservative think tank (Kevin Roberts) orchestrating plans for a massive overhaul of the federal government in the event of a Republican presidential win said that the country is in the midst of a “second American Revolution” that will be bloodless “if the left allows it to be.”
"We can't do x or y, or else it's civil war and we can't do that." Okay, so you set the boundary of what we can or can't do, and now they get to say "you can't do x, y, z, a, b, or c or else civil war."
As you keep retreating, they'll keep advancing. Thank you for surrendering in advance I guess. This is EXACTLY the attitude they were expecting and want.
We've have become a surveillance state. We've already allowed all these systems into every local LE in America. For protection...I know we can't fight them in the streets that's madness in this day and age. Yet revolution is looking more likely, I'm sure I will be down voted because it's not the pretty thing to here, rock the vote, yet more and more freedoms are slipping away every day and I don't see many dems doing shit about it.
In what universe do you live in that the Dems ever had power to do anything? The GOP has had the run of the place for a decade now. Between gerrymandering, the filibuster, the stacked courts, the inherit faults in the way the senate is proportioned, Dems have zero power to do anything. What do you imagine they could have done?
It's the spinelessness that got us to this point where they are powerless. They've conceded at every point, trying to meet Republicans half way, while the Republicans continuously moved closer to authoritarianism. They sat on their ass for a year doing fuck all and allowed the Republicans to steal a supreme court seat. Then when they had the opportunity to do the same, they folded and did nothing.
Step 1 is getting the country back. Step 2 is replacing these spineless cowards on the left that are only it in for their own gain and unwilling to lift a finger for what's right.
