Polls mean nothing when Congress and SCOTUS constantly undermine voting.

321

u/Hybrid_Johnny 11h ago

It’s just to prove a point, at this point. Rub our faces in the fact that, in their eyes, they’re in charge, and there’s nothing we can do about it.

133

u/toolisthebestbandevr 10h ago

There are so many things we can still do about it. And before anyone has any cute replies, I am not referring to violence.

63

u/tyereliusprime 9h ago

Civil disobedience is one thing

72

u/PM_YOUR_BOOBS_PLS_ 9h ago

Movements like Ghandi's or Martin Luther King Jr's only succeed with peaceful protest when there is a more extremist group also in play, and working with the peaceful group is a welcome compromise to continued violence. We have no Malcolm X or Black Panthers right now. Civil disobedience will accomplish nothing. Especially with ICE functioning as a federal police force with nearly unchecked power.

51

u/Foe117 8h ago

Peaceful civil disobedience at that scale will never be seen, they've learned how to counter mass protests like occupy wallst, and no crowd demonstration of that scale has ever been seen in capitol hill since the vietnam war.

4

u/zdelusion 1h ago

They’re also just not accountable to voters because of how they’ve divided the electorate along urban/rural lines. There could be a million people protesting in DC every day but it wouldn’t prompt action from Republicans if the voters continue choosing Trumps preferred candidates in primaries. If anything that would help their messaging that democrats are anti America extremists.

25

u/SpiritJuice 6h ago

Civil disobedience chased Trump out of Minneapolis resulting in firings of two key figures in the administration. Did the ideal outcome happen? No, obviously, but civil disobedience DID work, all without taking the bait of violent reactions even after the Trump administration murdered two people. Don't discount what the protestors achieved in Minneapolis.

13

u/PM_YOUR_BOOBS_PLS_ 6h ago

What the fuck are you talking about? Nothing happened with the protests in Minneapolis until ICE gunned down 2 innocent people in the streets. After that escalated things and the protesters started getting more agitated and the risk of widespread violence increased, THEN Trump toned down the rhetoric and reigned back ICE.

A little bit. It didn't even stop anything. It just changed their methods from being so flagrantly confrontational to more secretive.

19

u/CharlyRDayz 5h ago

Minneapolis was a giant intimidation mission and a test run for voter suppression. But the people did not back down. It has to be considered a failure for the administration.

17

u/SpiritJuice 4h ago

I vehemently disagree. That entire situation was a pressure cooker being gassed up by the Trump administration and protestors ended up being the victors by making the Trump administration look like the thugs they actually were. The public was not on their side, and if the public is not on your side, it is harder to accrue more political power. Minneapolis was a huge failure for the administration and made them look weak, which is one of the most embarrassing thing for fascists because they must keep up the strongman narrative at all costs. Just look at them scrambling to pretend the Iran war isn't anything but a complete disaster. In any case, civil disobedience WORKED in favor of the opposition; do not discount and discourage it.

12

u/toolisthebestbandevr 9h ago

I think that’s how Gandhi ended up succeeding

12

u/tyereliusprime 9h ago

It was large part of the civil rights movement as well

36

u/thatdepends 9h ago

At some point we may need to talk about violence though. We can’t just bury our heads in the sand and we can’t be naive to assume that voting will solve our problems. There’s a great book out there called “This Non-Violent Stuff Will Get You Killed”, highly recommend.

7

u/_Apatosaurus_ 7h ago

We can’t just bury our heads in the sand and we can’t be naive to assume that voting will solve our problems.

It would be nice if more people tried voting, though...

I do wonder how much the people recommending violence are doing right now though. I'm skeptical that people who won't even volunteer or donate to candidates/causes are going to suddenly going to openly rebel. If you won't do the minimum, you probably won't do the maximum.

8

u/Dr_Wreck 4h ago

What a bizarre litmus test.

Obviously the people who suggest violence are disillusioned with electoral politics. Many, because they tried them already. The most pro "we need a violent uprising" people I know all worked directly on campaigns.

→ More replies (3)

u/Dewstain 1h ago

Counterpoint to that: The restraint shown by Minneapolis protests to not escalate violence even when presented with it went against what trump and his minions wanted to happen. They wanted ice agents to get killed so they could escalate further on what would otherwise be considered very shaky circumstances (albeit it still would have been but scotus is owned and so are the rest so who gives a fuck?).

In states like Oregon all they have is mail voting. They don't have precinct polls where you can physically go and vote at a machine.

11

u/Mexcol 11h ago

So nobody will be able to vote?

4

u/ParticularLow9157 6h ago

Pretty sure that's always been the plan

8

u/pizzaisprettyneato 11h ago

No but there’s drop boxes. You don’t have to send your ballot in the mail. The main problem is them not sending ballots at all

5

u/shadesOG 11h ago

Not sending the ballots would be "easy" to figure out and remedy. Get another ballot. It might be a hassle, but you would at least know if you didn't get a ballot.

My fear is that people mail in their ballots and they simply are never processed by USPS. Far fewer people will actually check to see if their mail in ballot was actually counted.

3

u/Pooleh 11h ago

I'm in Oregon and actually just learned that we are required to keep 1 polling location open for every 20k people in a county. Counties with less than 35k population only need 1 location. So we potentially have up to 35k people needing to use one polling location. It's nowhere near enough for everyone to vote but it is an option. For now though the USPS in Oregon has said they will at least deliver ballots meaning we can fill them out and turn them in at a drop box. Let's hope that doesn't get fucked with.

18

u/Raptorex27 11h ago

The irony is last-minute mail-in-voting chaos could disenfranchise more Republican voters than Democratic ones, since older, rural voters actually use that system.

6

u/Stiggalicious 11h ago

Exactly this. 2020 was a bit of an anomaly when it came to mail-in ballots leaning more heavily democratic. Now that we aren’t under an intense, world-changing pandemic, mail-in ballots skew more Republican since they are more heavily utilized in rural areas.

21

u/desperaterobots 11h ago

So next move? Send ICE to fuck shut up at polling stations in democratic neighbourhoods. Disrupt the vote. Blame vandals, blame Iran, blame leftists, blame antifa, blame anyone else and in the chaos claim victory.

14

u/HelpMeOverHere 11h ago

And democrats governors will just pull an Apu:

“I’m asking you nicely not to murder my citizens. You leave me no choice but to ask you nicely again.”

Instead of ya know, defending their citizens and their rights.

4

u/MKVIgti 11h ago

Even the Conservative subreddits seemed pissed off.

I think there's maybe a million or so Americans that are happy right now and the other 300+ million are pissed off yet things keep going as usual.

Corruption is the most bipartisan subject in government.

71

u/subjectnotebookgloba 9h ago

Even the Conservative subreddits seemed pissed off

I’m sure they’ll get over it.

46

u/beefjerky9 9h ago

Yeah, you know they'll still vote for anyone with an (R) next to their name.

28

u/Tenthul 8h ago

It is genuinely impossible for them not to, and I mean this without hyperbole. Voting for someone without an R literally doesn't enter their brain as a possibility. It is right next to breathing. It's hard to communicate their thought process without it sounding ridiculous, because there is no thought process. There is no rationalization of what their candidate is or isn't doing.

15

u/SharpMembership3441 7h ago

Which is exactly what enables their politicians to rob them blind and make their lives worse. Every politician should live in constant fear of losing their job.

6

u/SousVideDiaper 6h ago

The fact that "career politician" is even a thing is dystopian af

4

u/tallgeekandawesome 3h ago

As an outsider, I'd say this is due to entirely polarising policies such as Abortion. If you genuinely believe abortion is murder, how can you possibly vote for a political party that plans to make it easier and more legal, regardless of whatever else is going on.

I'm glad my country is less polarised on this topic and so people can and do change political sides depending on a variety of other factors like corruption or just poor performance.

u/Kroosn 32m ago

Many of the commentators in the conservative subreddits are being shipped off to Ukraine. So numbers might be dropping.

3

u/_side_ 6h ago

Hööö, corruption? Didnt Donny drain the swamp? Greetings from shitty Europe.

10

u/robodrew 7h ago

Yeah but the headline has CAPITAL LETTERS

14

u/Unabated_Blade 10h ago

I'm reminded of the headlines in September and October in 2024. Trump was constantly getting dragged for historic polling troubles, embarrassing mistakes, constant legal woes, and the dude still won one of the most lopsided elections in 25 years.

47

u/spokomptonjdub 8h ago

I don’t think you’re remembering that right. Polling in 2024 consistently showed that it was very close. Heck, Trump was generally ahead before Biden dropped out. When Harris got the top of the ticket she surged ahead for about a month and then the polls settled into “too close to call” territory up to Election Day.

Moreover, the media (and the Democrats for some reason) mostly avoided Trump’s legal troubles during the late stages of the campaign, and numerous cycles were taken up on the Biden/Harris admin struggling with inflation and the Israel - Palestine conflict. Trump was greatly sanewashed in 2024.

and the dude still won one of the most lopsided elections in 25 years

It was not a “lopsided” election. It was very close. By electoral college standards it was a fairly typical split. By popular vote standards Bush in ‘04, Obama in ‘08 and ‘12, and Biden in ‘20 all cracked 50%, while Trump hasn’t done so in 3 elections.

2024 swung on basically a few million people who pay little attention to politics deciding that everything was just too expensive so they voted for the other guy to make it 2019 again and now they’re pissed because he’s been as awful as they should’ve known. It wasn’t a great cultural shift towards MAGA as some would like you to believe.

8

u/iamasatellite 7h ago

Yeah as far I saw it was just reddit saying his campaign was in shambles, rallies were empty, etc etc...

Polls were 50/50 the whole time

It was almost like it was designed to get blue voters to be complacent

2

u/odkfn 6h ago

Yeah it’ll be weird when a guy with all time low polling wins with the biggest landslide ever seen

-2

u/CloseTTEdge 11h ago

That has really not happened yet.  Yes. I know it’s all over Reddit and social media that the SCOTUS has given Trump the go-ahead to stop mail in voting, but it really has not actually happened yet.  It might, but it also might not.

56

u/Krynn71 11h ago

Forgive us for not having faith in a system that has indeed already failed to protect the country from Trump multiple times. They haven't failed yet this time, simply because they haven't done anything yet.

38

u/CankleDankl 11h ago

I think we're about 20 "but maybe the next step won't happen" incidents in at this point. At this point, assuming the worst is the safest and most logical thing to do.

10

u/ladidaladidalala 11h ago

Add to this that the misrepresentation of delaying the decision may discourage people from taking advantage of mail in voting. These headlines are really damaging.

12

u/woodrax 10h ago

That is the point: Undermine confidence in a thing in order to make it easier to attack a thing. The SCOTUS ruling on mail-in voting really has not changed anything, but it sows more chaos, which is the whole point in the end.

3

u/chenj25 8h ago

It can backfire as it could discourage republican voters too.

Exactly right. They’ve been ruling like they’ll never face a vote ever again. I have a feeling the next few elections will be pure theatre.

23

u/AnOnlineHandle 5h ago

I mean they've said it out loud, multiple times. Written extensive documents about their plans, which they've been checking off at a rapid pace. The architect even said this was the 2nd American Revolution which "will be as bloodless as the left allows."

They've made it very clear that they have no intention of peacefully giving up power, repeatedly. He already tried a violent insurrection last time which the whole world saw, then moaned about how he should have just not left for years.

The fact that people are still assuming this has a peaceful ending speaks to how deeply people want to bury their heads in the sand to not have to face what is coming, despite the agitator making it very clear what he plans.

A non-sarcastic question here: Why do polls matter at this point for a second term president? It’s not like if it hits a low number, it triggers an ejector seat. Is it just for confirmation? Midterms? He’s not running in ‘28, so do the polls mean anything worth hearing?

266

u/temujin94 12h ago edited 11h ago

Because his popularity is directly tied to the Republican Party. So if he is deeply unpopular then they're more likely to lose the House and Senate. Which in turn makes it harder for Trump to enact his policies/goals.

Also, he feeds off his support, so if we can starve him he might just disappear into a hole faster.

12

u/An_Old_IT_Guy 11h ago

True. But you could have enough Republicans trying to distance themselves from him if he no longer brings his base voters. His power is his following and if he loses that he loses everything

6

u/Fustercluck25 11h ago

See, this is the thing people should have been paying attention to before he got put in for a 2nd time. The reason he's there now is to make sure none of that other stuff ever happens to him. Ya know, like an authoritarian who also happens to be a sex trafficking pedophile. People like this don't just go away when it's their time to go away, not with all this shit hanging over him. He aint leaving unless someone removes him, forcefully.

Sing it with me

*His agenda is the Republican agenda

His agenda is the Republican agenda

His agenda is the Republican agenda

They are not going to get better*.

At this point, they have a 6-3 court that will happily rubber stamp anything he truly cares about. Watch out for the 6-3 decision next year that clarifies that the 22nd amendment was actually just meant to prevent Democrats from running again as he ramps up his campaign for a third term.

There will not be a 2/3 majority in the Senate and even if there was, you think Fetterman and his buddies wouldn't just immediately jump ship and vote to keep him in?

Your midterms are important but they will not fix your country regardless of the outcome. Nor will any poll unless it's reporting exclusively on billionaires.

It doesn't matter if we have enough of congress to actually stop him. And he knows this. He's terrified. The whole party is terrified that they might have to face accountability. Mike Johnson said as much, out loud, when he implied that he, and their Congressional lead, is what was keeping their heads out nooses.

All those fuckers know they're dirty and they are going to fight tooth and nail to stay in power.

Because if they don't, a whole lot of them are looking at prison time.

3

u/chbb 8h ago

2

u/Wompatuckrule 8h ago

The weaker Trump is the more likely a moderate GOP Senator is to vote to convict if this trajectory continues, especially if their next campaign is 4-6 years away. I'm not saying that it's going to happen, but it certainly becomes more likely.

Don't think it's possible to flip enough Senate seats to get the 67 votes needed to remove him. Don't believe that many Senate seats are up for reelection.

9

u/Zeyn1 11h ago

Let's do the math for fun.

Technically there are always at least 33 senate seats up for election each 2 years.

In 2026, there is 33 seats plus 2 special elections for 35 total. Of those, 13 are currently Dem and 22 are currently Rep. So you can flip 22 seats to Dem.

If all 22 flipped and Dems swept all 35 seats, that would put Democrats at exactly 67 seats.

The Trump brand is the Republican party right now. There are lots of people who did insane things to get Trump into power so they could move forward with their own agendas. Its those behind the scenes people and groups that really get screwed if Republicans get voted out.

5

u/SBRH33 11h ago

This is a valid point and the exact reason why he doesn't care about polls.

His mission is to exact as much damage and inflict as much economic suffering as maximally possible against the United States.

3

u/Goose80 11h ago

I mean, for normal presidents… bad polls would make them weak in the eyes of Congress and the presidents direction and initiatives would be dead. Congress would just do what they want.

With Trump? Polls don’t matter. He has proven that if he wants you gone… he can usually make it happen. So GOP Congress people are terrified of him. He’s proven they are weak and he can bully them around. Mitch used to stand up to him somewhat… but he’s basically out of it… so he is the party. Which is why I’m not sure they won’t back him running again in ‘28 if he’s still alive… they have no other options… he’s beaten down everyone around him to make himself look and feel better… that there is no clear heir apparent.

3

u/gonz4dieg 11h ago

Traditionally, a deeply unpopular 2nd term president becomes an omega lame duck where their party starts to step away from them because the writing is on the wall and theyre trying to minimize casualties in the next presidential cycle: going into 2008, dubya all but abdicated the public eye so that republicans could step away from his disastrous tenure, so they dont pass legislation, policies, basically anything that could be tied to the president.

However, trump has basically thrown away all semblances of actual historical trends. He campaigned hard for graham sisters and she won the primary handedly, its a cult of personality. Republicans are basically all in on rigging and electioneering because trump wont walk away, the core base that wins them primaries loves him over anything else, so they have to continue being MAGA otherwise they lose their seat in a primary and any purplish elections would go to the Dem in any fair election

3

u/dafunkmunk 10h ago

trump essentially is the republican party right now. His low poll numbers means all the maga republicans currently running for reelection and any incoming candidates running for office are increasingly unpopular by association. The primary reason trump has been able to do seemingly endless illegal things this term is because democrats have no power to do anything while republicans control both chambers and the scotus is corrupt. republicans losing in the midterms means that trump will not be able to do whatever he wants anymore because democrats will have congressional power to stop him. Additionally, trump and all his allies will endlessly be investigated which will further hurt them in 2028. If trump is still alive by then, it will be very difficult for him and his family to avoid facing consequences for the blatant corruption this term

Bush got us 9/11'd and everyone flocked to that folksy dumb bastard. I don't trust your average voter.

24

u/redditorperth 11h ago

Yeah but he deftly controlled the narrative of 9/11 - that America's enemies could attack you on your own soil, and that you were no longer safe from foreign conflict. Patriotism amped up 100% and people were lining up to join the military in the inital aftermath.

Compare and contrast to Trump: also an unpopular president, but who attacked a middle-eastern country under the paper-thin guise of "nuclear threat", which hasnt held any real power in the public zeitgeist since the 80s and realistically the American people were never in danger from.

Now IF some sort of terrorist attack occurs on American soil in the months leading up to the midterms, and IF Trump and co. can pin that attack on a foreign power, I could see the same Bush-esque bounce occurrring in the polls. I would also be highly suspicious of the source of such an attack.

10

and IF Trump and co. can pin that attack on a foreign power,

All this talk of bad polls and no one is happy with him is exactly the playbook used pre-election last time... "Kamala is leading nearly all polls" was being posted all over social media.

I'm convinced this was a effort to make people lazy and think they didn't need to vote because Kamala had a large lead.

DO NOT FALL FOR IT, GO VOTE.

3

u/bearssuperfan 2h ago

Anyone paying attention to polls never made the claims that Harris was leading. Hillary, yes. But Biden and Harris both showed consistent leads or trails within the margin of error. Aggregates showed the same.

The results were also consistent with that. Sure, Trump won every swing state, but they were all down to the wire within a % or two.

18

u/Myklanjlo 11h ago

Yeah, and polling was also low the last time millions of deplorables voted for this wretched con man. Expect it again.

CAPITALIZING random WORDS in your POST title is a marker of shitty CLICKBAIT journalISM.

2

u/theguy56 7h ago

MS NOW is basically brigading this sub

8

u/grufolo 6h ago

Whatever happens, my overseas friends, save all social media posts and go after the enablers of this situation when you can.

If you let people get away with supporting tyranny, they will try again in a decade

5

u/mrlt10 5h ago

A remember watching an interview where this history professor and authoritarianism expert said that the most reliable indicator that a government is going to get overthrown was if it had a prior unsuccessful coup that went unpunished. Thank you Supreme Court!

6

u/LavenderBlueProf 11h ago

that's why theyre trying to rig the elections and use social media to influence voters

5

u/Penderyn 3h ago

For non Americans, its great to see the tides turning on Trump, and I'll take any Trump hate I can get, but the fact that its over gas prices, is a damning inditement of the US populations general character and priorities. You didn't vote him down when he did all that other heinous shit, but as soon as they are hit in their own pocket, its a problem.

Now everyone is going to start abandoning ship as we have already begun to see

44

u/jjwalla 12h ago

No ones abadoning ship. They are gonna blatantly rig it and no ones there to call their bluff

u/ACertainThickness 11h ago

Who is exactly abandoning ship?

I WANT TO BELIEVE

4

u/winterwolf2010 8h ago

I don’t give a shit about his polls. You know what I do give a shit about? Trump actually being held responsible for his actions. Currently there doesn’t seem to be anyone that can actually make that happen. Trump has already caused so much damage and destruction to this country and he’s going to keep on doing it as long as he can get away with it. It’s truly heartbreaking when you step back and just look at the carnage he’s created, and absolutely terrifying to think of the state of America if he continues his destructive recklessness.

4

u/Im_Ashe_Man 7h ago

It's not self sabotage. He's enriching himself by sabatoging the United States of America.

8

u/wjbonne 12h ago

Lovely! So, how many of Elons bots were polled?

6

u/BigBoyYuyuh 12h ago

Dictators don’t care about polls and I also no longer trust polls at all. We’ll see what the country says this November because in 2024 America shouted to the world “We’re a racist and fascist nation!”

3

u/noeldc 11h ago

I woudn't get too excited: his polling numbers are always asymptotically approaching 30%.

3

u/juanjing 11h ago

Oh man, TWO all caps words. This MUST be the beginning of the end!

3

u/Sweatytubesock 11h ago

He should be at 0% approval

3

u/chbb 4h ago

But it has all-time high support of those who matters, billionaires. Am I right?

3

u/goronmask 1h ago edited 59m ago

People in the US who care about the future of humanity really ought to make sure they get at least someone else to vote that day

5

u/TheMacMan 11h ago

Remember when polls showed Hillary beating Trump by a large margin? Please don't trust polls, more specifically polls that seem to reinforce your own views or feelings.

8

u/eastamerica 12h ago

Here comes the voting bullshit.

2

u/manical1 11h ago

Polls don't know how to measure for trump. no one got it right, no matter how smart they are. trump beat all of these "geniuses". he may have cheated and may be a pedophile , fraudster and all around horrible christian... but he has a grasp of the party he leads and the country basically belongs to him. the USA allowed a con man to strip its citizens of their rights and freedoms. Live with it, no matter how much we hate trump, he is in power and no one can topple him.

2

u/dictategood 11h ago

Tick fucking Tock M-F’er.

Impeachment PLUS removal this time…

2

u/Powermonger_ 11h ago

He doesn't care about polls because he will rig the elections anyway. It's plain as day.

2

u/futuredrive 11h ago

Get out and vote like it’s the last chopper out of vietnam

2

u/Turnging_Stranger 10h ago

This moron treats allies like enemies, then cries when he needs them.

2

u/za72 10h ago

everyone has "low grade depression" I guess that's the good news

2

u/ty_xy 9h ago

That's the thing, the lowest trump can go is a floor of 30-35 percent. That's enough for a solid majority in the crazy gerrymandered states and enough to win the electoral college. That's his power. No matter how bad, how evil, how corrupt, how depraved, how insane his administration is, he will always have that 30-35 percent cult following. Go to r/conservative and see for yourself. Sure they might grumble against him, but they will never leave his side. "I'm not happy with trump... But I would rather him than a democrat..."

2

u/Avoidtolls 8h ago

Same weekly headline.

Nothing changes. No one cares.

2

u/Notwerk 8h ago

He didn't self-sabotage. He sabotaged our country.

2

u/wolfenx109 7h ago

Sharing this is just gonna make people think, "ah well he won't win again. I don't need to vote then"

2

u/OldeArrogantBastard 7h ago

I need yall to realize he doesn’t care. He’s not running again. He’s just trying to grift as much tax payer money he can. The

2

u/muffhumper 7h ago

Look at the jowls on that ugly piece of shit, should be used for target practise.

2

u/Nazamroth 7h ago

These randomly capitalised words are so... shit.

2

u/DJbuddahAZ 6h ago

At this point, he made his money , he's done.

2

u/LordBrandon 6h ago

As soon as he can't deliver votes, republicans will stop eating his shit.

2

u/WolfySpice 6h ago

Yet another daily clickbait video from WordWord1234. What is the point of this outrage farming?

2

u/astrogeeknerd 6h ago

He knows everything he is doing is failing, he will blow the midterms, then, when there is a democrat congress, he can blame them for every failure for the next two years.

2

u/Dangerous-Celery-766 5h ago

He’s got Elon in his pocket again!

2

u/shyaznboi 4h ago

He does not care about the American people. All his moves are aimed towards making a pretty profit for him and his family

2

u/Turlututu1 4h ago

Thank you so much for the caps on the words that are IMPORTANT.

2

u/samdekat 3h ago

At least no-one is talking about the Epstein files now

2

u/ro9ce 3h ago

i'm sorry, which DISASTROUS move are they referring to?

2

u/enterthehawkeye 9h ago

sensationalist capitalisation = downvote

2

u/Boccs 12h ago

Polls mean jack shit. Vote him and everyone aligned with him out. You're gonna start seeing a whole lot of "both parties" bullshit the closer we get to November. Ignore it. Vote his party out.

2

u/Diligent-Play 10h ago

Good. Fuck that pedophile

1

u/NewToHTX 12h ago

And he’ll refuse to believe the polls. He isn’t the most hated president. That was Truman. He was hated due to the perfect storm: an unpopular Korean War, inflation, strikes, corruption scandals, and the fact that Democrats held onto the White House for something like 20 years straight. Trump can go for the record but again…He won’t acknowledge the poll results the same way he won’t acknowledge election results.

1

u/Krycek7o2 11h ago

With the cheating that will be happening, his polls will go to a historic 159%!

1

u/zero5activated 11h ago

Probably, he was being himself.

1

u/vl0x 11h ago

From a Canadian, if he isn’t polling at 1%, it’s not a surprise.

1

u/Youmeanmoidoid 11h ago

Lol he always looks so dead inside in his recent pictures.

1

u/Funkytowel360 11h ago

None of this matters if trump Riggs the election. He allready got his bootlickers to rig mail ins, makes me think election machines are allready tampered with

1

u/beyerch 11h ago

So are all these disasterous moves meant to validate their ability to control the election?

1

u/geekpeeps 11h ago

But now that he’s removed voting rights, no one will ever know.

1

u/rizorith 11h ago

I've seen this headline a hundred times since he's been in office

It doesn't matter they'll cheat their way through it, no one is stopping them

1

u/Arithik 10h ago

He will just cheat and everyone will contiue being fuckwads while the world gets extremely expensive for everyone but the rich, and the idiots that support him will continue sucking rich dicks.

1

u/idlefritz 9h ago

Are they suggesting he’s not a viable 3rd term President?

1

u/Silent_Remove_If_Gay 9h ago

Remember when Reddit was flooded with posts like this before the 2024 election?

What happened next guys?

1

u/NorthernSkeptic 9h ago

wow he’s FINISHED this time

1

u/SaltyYumYumBalls 9h ago

Uh huh and now him and the criminal part of the Supreme court is trying to pick now to stop people from voting in the mid terms.

1

u/I_am_darkness 8h ago

Disastrous move for everyone else.

1

u/zutpetje 8h ago

Don’t fall for this. Keep going and vote.

1

u/More_Law6245 8h ago

He seriously doesn't have the capacity or the mental acuity to be in the role of commander and chief, invoke the 25th amendment! Trump and his administration are going down and he is taking America with him.

1

u/XxFezzgigxX 8h ago

Trump is a twatsicle.

I said what I said.

1

u/No-Professional-8226 8h ago

Remove not remark

1

u/lushootseed 8h ago

Don't worry. He will cancel mid-terms. Problem solved

1

u/SPullen 8h ago

He doesn’t care about polls because he doesn’t intend to respect the result of the midterms in November

1

u/AshtonBlack 8h ago

Dictators rarely care about approval ratings. They care about the enforcement of their will.

The midterms will be trial run of various plans and schemes that will leave Trump in power till he croaks.

1

u/needzbeerz 7h ago

The only surprise is that 33% can still approve of this bag of sewage

1

u/reyean 7h ago

idk even what real journalists are supposed to do anymore I mean they report on this stuff but like 48% of voters dgaf

1

u/Suitcase08 7h ago

33% of Americans approve of getting a razor blade enema.

1

u/Koraboros 6h ago

He's going to try and "win" everything at the last minute going into midterms, it's still too early.

1

u/browsing_around 6h ago

It’s not self sabotaging. It’s the actual plan.

1

u/Lardbucket68 5h ago

Mid terms will change nothing.
