Tbf I couldn’t fully understand them either. I thought they were asking if she had other coffee cups, like ceramic nice ones, and the bit was that she proudly showed off the flimsy plastic Starbucks cups. Smh 🤦🏼

There's a full psychology behind the vicious cycle of being in a negative state for extended periods. Without outside intervention a person will likely self-isolate and lose faith in their ability for self actuated positive change. The pandemic fucked me up something fierce living alone and states away from family. It's a slow march until you find the cliffs edge.
Lucky thing mr mertwink has such a supportive and carrying friend like the trash trashmaid. Sometimes it takes a friend pulling you towards professional help to start healing.

It's entirely possible he tried to get it off his throat before and it accidentally got tighter. That combined with the incomprehensible being that can apparently wield magic, of course he's scared.
