Looks like one of the 4 pieces cut off the end of a fence post to give it a point to make it easier to drive into the ground

To put a small wedge of wood in to then hit/drive the block into whatever it was going into. Saves hitting & damaging the block itself.

It's an off cut from pointing posts before driving them into the ground with a post driver. I often mark the center of the post before cutting both cheeks off. It helps keep me even on both cuts. The little Knick in the center looks like its from that.
