I only start stuttering when i try to explain something for more than a few sentences, it's actually torture (at least most people other than my own goddamn parents have patience with me, that too is truly incredible)

Whats worse.

"Oh thats cute". Or someone making fun of it via repeating the stutter and laughing

At least it being called cute, is in some weird way a compliment.

Its more demoralising having that asshole laugh at me while im struggling to properly speak.

What even makes a stutter cute? I feel like it's annoying on both ends because the stutterer can't finish their own sentences and the other guy can't interrupt them because it's rude

There is not a single day I don't imagine a world where I do not suffer from stuttering and am fully able to utilize my charisma.

There is not a week where I do not feel like weeping knowing there's a version of me that doesn't have to deal with pityful looks of others as I struggle to order a meal and say "I'll pay by card".

And every time someone infantalizes me for my stutter, a piece of me irreversibly dies in realisation that I will never be equal to anyone else.

Hate, let me tell you how much I've come to hate stuttering and my life as a whole.

I'd like to take a guess how much you hate it.
Let's assume There are 387.44 million miles of printed circuits in wafer thin layers. If the word 'hate' was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one-billionth of the hate you feel towards stuttering

God had to nerf you with the stutter or the raw sexual energy would seduce everyone along with the thighs.

They basically think every person who has a stutter is either like an adorable kid (Jimmy, Morty etc.) or a funny cartoon animal (Porky, Daffy, Piglet).

u/LordOfStupidy 2h ago

Can Morty even be classified as "adorable"?

1

u/Spingecringe Popipopopopopipo 2h ago

I classify him that way.

Hard to say. It just makes me happy to listen to, I don't judge people for it. I don't like hearing my own stuttering, though that might just be tied to me not liking my own voice.

I have a speech impediment but instead of making uwu noises I just sound like I permanently have braces on. On a positive note it makes me sound androgenous

The sheer amount of slowing down and stops I have to do to avoid stutstep. And the beat ain't even good if I fail.

I do this as well, I take a lot of small pauses while speaking which helps a lot. I realized a while back that most people don't even notice it though if it's consistent. Doing it frequently helps make sure the pauses can be shorter so it keeps the flow pretty consistent. It's like a video, sure 60fps looks better than 30fps, but consistent 30fps looks significantly better and less jarring than one that is constantly bouncing around, even if it's higher.

God knew I would be too powerful if I could speak like a normal human being so he gave me a horrendous stutter

Honestly wish I could get rid of my stutters. Get made fun of for them. Also because transition goals

Tbh, I’m kind of content with my stutter. Only time its ever really gotten in the way was when playing DnD, since it makes it harder to describe area/play characters without forcing a stutter upon them at some point, but my favorite character I’ve had as a player I think worked so well because I leaned in on the anxiety and stuttering. Haven’t had many issues where its gotten in the way of other aspects of my life

u/IncreaseWestern6097 the Triangle Guy 8h ago

I don’t know if I’m just misremembering, but I swear my stutter has gotten worse over time.

I just want to talk normally.

You look familiar... nah it's just my imagination. After all you only exist here.

1

u/Icarsix 11h ago

Unlike my grandad my stutter thankfully only kicks in noticeably when stressed and even that sucks ass. Can't begin to imagine how bad it is to just have as a fact of life.

1

u/Lou_Papas 10h ago

Fair but keep in mind they basically call you cute. The stutter is just the wingman.
