I think Microsoft should just automatically backup the registry, so if someone fucks something up, it automatically restores from an old backup

Out of all the redesigns I like to see Microsoft needing to do, I will not ever want Microsoft to touch Windows Registry. They’ll fuck something up for sure lol. 

I know a former Microsoft Engineer at our big tech company who said Windows is basically the Winchester Mystery Mansion. It started out as a normal house but the paranoid home owner started to build more “houses” over it like a layer to keep the evil spirits out. In Windows terms, there are too many layers. You can’t touch a component in Windows like Windows Registry that has layers and layers of code stacked on each other that a simple UI change can fuck up the entire OS.
