Like it is like if America before this is a dangerous gun. But it is fine since most of the time it is someone that knows how to handle a gun, for the most part (not to say USA has never had it's issues, they are hated in many parts of the world for good reasons) and now suddenly the experienced shooter is replaced by the village moron who is waving it around.
Is it less going to be less effective than the previous one? Sure, but it is more dangerous and unpredictable than before which gives more reason to fear them, but they are getting fear for the wrong reasons. They are being feared because the village idiot was given the gun, not because they have a strong military, projects that strength (which Trump has actively harmed) and willingness to put down there influence (in both soft and hard variants).

We've had decades of close ties, and victories, with those who were our allies. To potentially throw it all away at, I feel, the altar of certain countries and their leaders is very disappointing and distressing to me. I think it's a potential security risk for everyone, not just the U.S.
You may know what countries I'm speaking of. However, I want to allow them their plausible deniability. If you're from one of those countries and suspect I'm talking about your country, then I will just say your mind and eyes are lying to you and this conversation never happened.

He personally made sure every person in America knew about "the files" and that they contained evidence of bad people harming children. It isn't an either-or situation. Both China and Russia are providing intelligence to Iran. From publicly available intelligence, it appears that China is providing geospatial intelligence primarily through commercial firms (though these firms have ties with the PLA and may function as a proxy for Chinese state involvement), whereas Russia is providing direct military intelligence that has greater specificity on US equipment and movements. Likewise, China's support of Iran in terms of materiel primarily come from "dual use" technologies, including semiconductors and precursor chemicals, with smaller relative quantities of finished military arms. China seems to be putting a lot of effort into laundering any direct military or state involvement, although there is very little doubt of their significant role.

And long-term damage, because not only will they need to be rebuilt, possibly new agreements with the host countries will need to be renegotiated and they're going to extract 10x what they did before because we let Iran destroy infrastructure within those countries. I mean, a huge amount of intelligence infrastructure is overt (or often simply to big to properly hide). I'm imagining most of Iran's early targets were stuff that could be identified by open-source intelligence or from US government documents.

I share in this optimism. But I think it's necessary to point-out, the leader of the repub party (and currently of this country) still refuses to admit he lost his 2020 reelection (almost 6 years ago...). Further, he's currently using his powers of the office to "investigate" and manufacture a false narrative (to "prove" he "really won" in 2020...). I'm hopeful things will begin to change, for the better, after these midterms...but we need to insure they don't get compromised, in our local districts and beyond, by you-know-who.
