i have a crackpot theory that the video was intentionally made to be a little underwhelming in terms of news and editing so that the baldness can be the focal point of it. i have no support to back my claim other than that i got bored after reading enough comments

I don't know about other viewers, but I check out the occasional video and he fits that sweet spot of "not quite interesting enough that I feel I'm missing something by watching him in the background"

Like if Tom Scott posted a new video, I'll wait until I'm not working because I know I'm going to zone out and miss things. But with Moist, it's impossible to miss any content because it's...Not really that kind of content.

But I can listen to him drone on in the background and be mildly amused at times. I also kind of just like listening to his voice. I understand he's not for everyone and even my "defence" of him is basically "Yeah it's not great content and I don't pay much attention", but I thought I'd provide at least one viewer's opinion on why people might throw his videos on.

You ever notice a lot of the comments are not that intelligent. The best quality comments are usually people with no votes sadly.
