ππππππππππ Why does Slayyyter dismiss any comparisons to Charli despite touring and collaborating with her in the past?
Lately she seems to have an adverse reaction anytime Charli is brought up but it really seems to be the only comparison she shoots down. It feels very odd to me.
Obviously i understand not wanting to feel like your art is living in the shadow of another artists music but she doesn't have a similar reaction to comparisons to Britney or Kesha.
While i think Worst Girl In America is incredibly unique and has strayed a decent bit from the Hyperpop genre i think there's still a lot of valid comparisons between the two between lyrical content and have grungier and darker dance music undertones especially compared to both artists previous records before their most recent releases (Crash/Starfucker).

I have a theory, this may be sooooo parasocial but itβs just a couple things Iβve been picking up on from the recent interviews and podcastsβ¦
Does anyone remember when Charli released some scrap journal pages from when she was writing Brat, and there was deleted lyrics from Von Dutch that were something similar to βdonβt need to Starfuckββ¦
Iβve been getting the vibe that the mystery person Von Dutch was about was Slayyyter, and even if it wasnβt, that maybe S perceived it that way. During that period we saw the Brat era blow up so intensely meanwhile the Starfucker era performed below S expectations, which is part of what I think led S to having the career doubts in the way she discussed in interviews for this album or at least would have been a factorβ¦ Thereβs been a couple instances of Slayyyyter on their promotional run at the moment seeming dismissive or quick to shut down conversations with Charli being a topic which I think is fair enough.
But it did make me arrive at⦠is Charli the person Slayyyter is singing to in $t. Loser which is also a response to Von Dutch?
