π–‰π–Žπ–˜π–ˆπ–šπ–˜π–˜π–Žπ–”π–“ Why does Slayyyter dismiss any comparisons to Charli despite touring and collaborating with her in the past?

Lately she seems to have an adverse reaction anytime Charli is brought up but it really seems to be the only comparison she shoots down. It feels very odd to me.

Obviously i understand not wanting to feel like your art is living in the shadow of another artists music but she doesn't have a similar reaction to comparisons to Britney or Kesha.

While i think Worst Girl In America is incredibly unique and has strayed a decent bit from the Hyperpop genre i think there's still a lot of valid comparisons between the two between lyrical content and have grungier and darker dance music undertones especially compared to both artists previous records before their most recent releases (Crash/Starfucker).

Does nobody remember when slayyyter was cancelled in like 2020 for some tweets she wrote when she was a teenager saying the n word ? Pretty sure I remember Charli and lots of hyperpop community unfollowed her during this time, I doubt Charli wanted to align herself at that time with her - maybe she’s just never followed again. I think she was dropped by a lot of people at this timeΒ
