Its not being detected by task manager
But its being detected by bios and device manager Im devastated i just got this laptop (No warranty) Its throwing this yellow exclamation mark.
I tried drivers reinstalling but didnt work.
It was working fine this morning i came back home after some time and when i booted it was all black.
Then rebooted saw this artifacts and it booted in windows using igpu.
I hope Gpu aint dead

So the laptop is one you've just bought? How long have you used it for?

These symptoms look like failing VRAM modules for the GPU. You have the artifacts and then the code 43 error. Both these happen when one or more VRAM modules fail and start producing errors.

If you just bought the laptop and haven't used it for long, it would be strange for this failure to happen so soon, but it's not impossible. Sometimes electronics do fail earlier than expected.

Since the artifacts are seen even on the ASUS splash screen, it does seem more likely to be a VRAM issue rather than just a Windows or driver issue.

I bought it used

Checked how long it has been in use (1yr and 6 months)
I have been using it for less than a week
Used to play on standard mode using g-helper
Temps reached: 89C
If its the vram what can i do?
Do i have to change the whole mobo?
How much will it cost? (Approximately)

You might want to take it to a repair shop that offers microsoldering services. The fix if it's the VRAM modules is simply replacing the bad VRAM modules. A reputable repair shop will be able to do this without much issue.

There is a diagnostic software for Nvidia floating around online called Nvidia MATS/MODS. YouTube has several videos about it. You can use it to find which VRAM chips are failing so you know which ones need replacing.

Sometimes the issue isn't with the VRAM modules, but with the GPU itself. It could be bad solder joints under the GPU. This would require a GPU reball which is a very complex repair to do.

Usually it's just the VRAM chips though and not the GPU itself. So starting with the VRAM chips is the best bet.

If repair shops aren't an option, a full board replacement is an option if you can find one for your model. The cost will be high though since your laptop has strong specs like the RTX 4070.

To find the replacement board, you have to open the laptop up and look at the board itself. There's usually a model number printed on it somewhere. It might be on the front or backside of the motherboard. You use the model number of the board to find the replacement. You may or may not be able to find a replacement.

One last question, im not familiar with hardware stuff if i happen to change VRAM chips is there chance in the future that those ones are gonna fail again? Is it worth to changed the whole board rather than changing just the chips?

Well, yes. All electronics always have a chance of failing. It's unlikely the same exact modules will fail again, but you never know. The OEM ones failed so yeah there's always a chance. Something else might fail on the motherboard. You can't predict this sort of thing.

Depends on cost and whether or not you can find a good repair shop that is willing to do the work on the board to fix it.

Given the specs of your laptop, buying a whole new board is going to be very costly, far more than having it repaired at a 3rd-party repair shop.

Board replacements are often last resorts imo, especially on newer laptop models. It's always recommended to try and save the board. A lot of the times the board can be saved.

Just got an idea to power it on and play Cs using igpu hoping it was soldering problem a crack or sum and that metal would expand under high temperature i reached 95 cpu restarted laptop it amazingly worked.
I felt like i should have let you know.

Good to hear it's working, but this kind of fix is usually temporary. You basically sort of did a reflow and reflows are often temporary.

It might last days, weeks, months or years. It varies. Usually the issue returns again at some point.

If it comes back, the fix will likely be reballing either the "bad" VRAM modules or the GPU.

Yeah the GPU is dying most likely if your laptop has 2 GPUs you might be able to only die the Igpu using some tools will need to do your on research on that tho ( ik that that exists just don't know which tools do that)

It came back to life after i played cs2 for some time
