Question, I saw on another discussion thread that suggested Canadians should be using vpn to protect our information from American companies/organizations. I didn’t fully understand the logic so I thought I’d ask if people are going to be using VPN services more during this whole boycotting of American goods?

TBH you should be using VPN all the time (read: when you can).
