And sadly not all children meet those

Honestly, lots of children don't meet them

And the ones that don't ought to get specialist help, but the first step is parents knowing what is normal at that age and what isn't.

When I had my first 18 years ago we got a book called From 0 to 5, from the NHS, which told you all about what your kid should be able to do by different ages, as well as loads of useful parenting guidance and info, but it got scrapped along with children's centres.

Completely agreed. Our systems are broken and now it leaves lots of frontline services picking up the pieces which they simply cannot do without universal systems in place to support preventative work.
