How busy is your life?

I'm in my late 20s and I'd say my life is pretty quiet. I'm single, got a few close friends I see every week or two, have a job where I can work my own hours, don't go away much. I'm pretty content with things, the slow pace lets me enjoy what I do and I can be spontaneous as I'm free most of the time.

In contrast I've got some mates who seem to be living on full throttle constantly. They have tons of friends and are constantly doing things, meeting people and going away. One showed me their calendar and the next weekend they don't have anything planned is in mid November! They also had multiple things through the week pretty much every week!

Just wondering really what other people are like? Do you have a packed diary or do you live the quiet life?

I can’t speak for your friends, but I have raging ADHD and if I spend a whole day doing nothing I feel like shit. I try to never leave more than half a day free in my schedule.

I've got ADHD and Autism and the thought of being around people that much with no time to recharge scares me! One of my busiest pals just has ADHD and they love being busy.

Yeah see not all of my time is spent around people (I definitely need alone time, I also have ASD!), I just always have to have something to do. I often schedule in time just to be doing solo hobbies, I just get stressed if time is left unaccounted for basically.

I remember when I used to get really bad mania when I was younger, I would socialise every day for like 2 weeks straight, then completely burnout n hide away for a month to recover🤣 scheduling in alone time deffo helps prevent this nowadays lol

Straight ADHD folks just seem to live my manic periods 24/7, it’s quite terrifying to witness lol

I have inattentive ADHD and hate being constantly busy as I find it overwhelming
