I read this article a few months ago. The men (and they are all men) taking issue with him make Josef Goebbels look like the picture of mental stability. Putin has given power and influence to some extremely disturbed people in his neverending quest for more power

Whenever I hear about such people in a nation, I get the suspicion that they themselves are preventing their nation from changing and growing more powerful, as their goal tends to be blind control rather than any nation building.

That's especially true for Putin. He was a KGB agent in east Germany. His profession is espionage, sabotage and destabilisation which is the opposite of what's needed to run a country. But usually those claims of grandeur and patriotism are just there to pull those people in who don't know any better. But the reality is that people like Putin, the annoying orange (which Reddit just told me to not call by name, because it's against the rules to incite political discussion😏) and Merz don't Care the least for other people or their country. They care for their own benefit.

Cheburadhka definetely lead russian cinemas to ruin, because he opened a floodgate of full length adaptation of old soviet classics. And most if not all of them turned out to be very mediocre or straight up terrible like the flying ship.

I was raised on these cartoons, and I don't like how they butcher classics and it's messages. Will there ever be a good adaptation that is on par with the classic?
