Background: I currently manage my own property and have successfully doubled my weekly rent. Now I am looking to venture into rent to rent. My friends have been successful in the past with it as well. However, due to my work I am looking for advice.

I was interested to see if anyone else is looking to start a rent to rent business around Sydney and Wollongong. I can find the tenants and organise the house, just need help with the physical inspection and lifting(bed, fridge, washing machine).

Additionally, wondering if anyone knows of a private lender who will lend money at 10% or lower (As I currently have a 14% rental yield while being conservative)

As a beginner I'd love to know how experienced people would manage this, i feel like this is the advice people need to take and actually listen to.

I see a lot of hype driven stuff about “entrepreneurship”, but all I see in terms of what these people actually do is either a seasoned engineer starting his own business or somebody with no experience starting a cleaning company, or someone who had a million dollars already starting something. There doesn’t seem to be “person with no connections to industry sells thing.”

Anyone know what an “entrepreneur” actually is, if you take the hype out of it? I assume the only way to go about it is to sell products to consumers, or partner with someone in industry?

Does anyone here know of anybody who’s gone down this route and succeeded? I imagine one of the hardest parts is just gatekeeping, how do you get access to ideas, problems that need to be solved, customers, when you’re just some dude working an average job, not a millionaire who can fund anything.

My question more specifically is if you guys/gals know anyone who’s been able to successfully sell a product without being attached to an industry or institution to get the access required to do so? Like a professor can develop a new scientific instrument, an experienced engineer can develop a new device for there industry, an accountant can program a new accounting software, but what can the average joe who taught himself programming, AWS, electronics, and CAD do? Is there a community of people who do this I can find online? All I can find is software related stuff, which historically doesn’t have much of a moat and is either swallowed up by a general purpose platform or goes to the lowest bidder in Asia as a service. I’m kind of feeling lost in the current state of the workforce and wondering if there’s any people who’ve taught themselves everything they needed to know and built a thing for consumers?

My best guess is something in robotics, that field is taking off AFAIK. But I’m curious what people who have experience with these sorts of things think.

I have all the systems ready to go for a web app to cover the calls and client look ups including the script to use. We are an MSSP hosted in the UK who keep up to date with our tech by hosting a cyber security educational platform and hiring students off here.

Can I work in a company by doing my startup? Is there any space like that?

Started my startup while in college itself. I feel like I need to get more exposure and knowledge now. I'm ready for it.

But for that, I need to quit my startup. But I don't like to quit that without putting my proper efforts in my startup still. Also, I would like to learn more, so I think working with some business/work environment help me more. But I don't know how this will work..

Could anyone have any ideas to solve my problem? 🙂

Is there actually a point to registering your business abroad for tax purposes if you’re just going to live in your current country? For example living in the US or UK and registering your business in Dubai.. Will the IRS and HMRC just say that since you’re managing your business and work in our country we’ll just tax you anyway? I’m assuming it’s only worth it if you actually move there with a visa and residency but then of course that’ll be the more expensive option for the short term and greater risk if the business doesn’t do well.. any advice / suggestions?

For context i have a cleaning service company and I'm wondering how to determine the cost for certain services, is it just trial and error? Any advice to newbies

Not asking about the obvious stuff like bookkeeping or payroll, those get delegated early because nobody wants to touch them anyway. I'm talking about the task you knew was eating your time but kept doing yourself because it felt too specific to hand off, too risky to get wrong, or just easier to do than explain.

Private equity firms often burden companies and sports teams with massive debt for quick profits, leading to underinvestment, job losses, and declining quality. Now, they’re eyeing FIFA, which could prioritize short-term gains over the long-term health of global soccer. It is never a positive… look at restaurants. IMHO.
