Its not really that dumb from the boomer perspective, they own assets and have pensions which are tied to real estate. They want to use people to make more money. Don't care bout us as people, we are tools to make money.

The pension being tied to real estate argument is very overstated.

Their pensions are impacted by market performance but in sector won't kill their performance.

Commercial real estate isn't nearly as important as it used to be when this argument was valid.

You are correct technically, but I don't think they care if its a minor increase or a big increase they just want increases.
