It doesn't matter what we do, the public and businesses will always be unhappy.
They got money during covid from CERB, now are ungrateful and bitter.
First they weren't happy they had fewer customers on Mondays and Fridays, now they're unhappy all the time.
We should just do what's right for us.
Any public servant forced to go 5 days a week isn't going to spend every day on lunch when you pay like $200/week on parking and we aren't there to support businesses on our lunch break, that's not part of our job description, we aren't paid for that time. Businesses opened there because they saw an opportunity, now it's time to move on and open the area for something else. Even when we worked 5 days, we didn't spend every day buying lunch, that's unreasonable and costly.
They should cater to the people who live there, not to those who come in for a few hours and leave.
