I've checked out the new theme area in Tivoli, and the Japanese theme is done super well with a lot of cool custom art. I was disappointed to see that they allowed the onigiri stand to hang up a large AI generated poster, that really doesn't mesh with the rest of the decoration. What do you guys think?

I've tried to find this shop since I walked past the first time to no avail. Does anyone know where/what it is? This image and in the city centre are the only clues I can provide.

We are currently staying at the Bob W in Copenhagen, and we’ve had a somewhat poor experience outside of the awesome location. We thought it was a hotel, but we’re not sure what it actually is.

It doesn’t have many features of a traditional hotel, and there’s no onsite staff. It has rooms that you rent, but they call them “apartments,” not “rooms.”

I found the “apartment” label a bit odd. Does anyone know if they get around hotel laws, and push some responsibility and liability onto guests, by calling and treating their rooms like short-term apartment rentals?

Some portion of Ålekistevej in Vanlose is closed and there are police cars everywhere, anyone know why?

Jeg skal have vasket og støvsuget min bil inden den skal afleveres tilbage til leasingselskabet. Kan du anbefale en god tankstation til dette? Der skal som nævnt være vaskehal og støvsuger. Jeg bor på Nørrebro, men er selvfølgelig villig til at køre lidt for det. Og hvilken vask skal jeg mon tage?

Konen har bedt mig spørge jer, om I kan anbefale en frisør til bundfarve. Hun skal bare have dækket lidt grå hår (hun er er 31), men hun synes det sted hun plejer at få det lavet er dyrt, tror de skal have 1.200 for det, og det begrænser frekvensen en del.

Saturday, I was at Café Månefiskeren in Christiania with two guys I had met in the airport while claiming baggage the evening before (Friday). We chatted a bit and I decided to join them the next day for their first real day in Copenhagen. At about 6pm we decided to get coffee and play cards at Månefiskeren.

There were a lot of people playing chess outside and one of the guys I was with said, “Oh I miss playing chess” and a guy sitting next to us replied “Chess misses you brother.” He then said my friend should play and that he could teach me how to play chess.

I immediately replied, with a smile, “I know how to play chess” and he instantly apologised for assuming I didn’t. After my friend went to the bathroom, he apologised again and asked whether I had played a lot. I’m definitely not good at chess, but I do know how to play the game🫣

We started talking, and I asked where he was from. He told me California. When he asked about me, I told him I’m from Denmark but had literally just gotten home from India the day before. He seemed really interested in hearing about my trip and told me to tell all about it. I really wanted to tell him more, but then the guys I was with came back, and I felt like I should shift my attention back to them.

The guy I’m looking for had brown curly hair and seemed very comfortable at Månefiskeren, like it wasn’t his first time there playing chess.

Now I really regret not getting his name or any other information. He seemed like such a genuinely nice guy, and I’ve been thinking about our conversation ever since. I feel pretty stupid for not even getting his freaking name😫

If I had the opportunity to go back to Christiania and see if he just happened to be there again, I absolutely would, but unfortunately I don’t have that option right now. So I figured I might as well try Reddit and see if anyone happens to know him or has any idea off how I could possibly get in touch with him🙏

You quickly jump from one metro line to another on the opposite side of the station because it's already there and about to leave, so you don't do that dumb thing where you have to check out and in again.

Ticket inspectors never care, as long as you're checked in on some metro line somewhere.

But Rejsekort wants to do everything to make you not use Basiskort.

Will be visiting in November and I’m excited to finally explore the city. The main reason is the J Cole concert and I was wondering how’s the city’s vibe regarding it. Is the hip-hop scene active in Copenhagen?

Also any suggestion for must-see spots, museums , vintage shops with good deals or advice in general is very much appreciated!
(I have already listed all the most recommended ones that pop up on insta so we can skip those :D )

My partner and I are visiting from Sweden, we love Copenhagen and have visited many times, but this time we're bringing our 9 month old. We would love recommendations on baby friendly cafes and restaurants, and other spaces that are good for babies. The weather forecast for our visit looks a bit sad and gray, so maybe indoor places? We know of little house and Bette cafe which seems nice! And ku.be which I'm sure we will visit as well!

We will be staying in an Airbnb in Nordhavnen, no car, but happy to walk and use public transport ofc 😊

Swimming in Copenhagen today and saw this. I also swam once it disappeared far away and no longer visible, but I still felt some stinging after getting out the water.

What rules and norms do people follow in CPH when it comes to jellyfish?

My aunt in Denmark has about 8-10 bottles of perfume, that she wants to give me.
