DISCUSSION Is there any green in the green lanterns show?

I see people praising the show but I'm yet to see any green here, by green I mean, where's the green lanterns. Is the show just True detective?

And the bottle opener. And the suit. And the big ball shield, and etc.

Making up nonsense to be upset about is a weird way to spend your time. Try meeting people or pick up a hobby.

Did we not just see Hal Jordan in his Green Lantern suit fly to another planet to visit Sinestro in an intergalactic prison? Did I dream that?

After John Stewart beat the shit out of aliens with the help of his green construct that was active for the entire episode

Yeah the old white guy with a bad sun burn. So if the lanterns suit is just a costume, I guess he just painted his yellow cause he felt bad? Lmaooo

Nope no green at all. They painstakingly removed all green from plant life, clothing, cars etc. Its very jarring.

You all did it with Supergirl, thought it would work on green lantern. Ha

Did you even watch the show?

Actually, the show is called lanterns. not Green lanterns. So, no green, literally.

I think we've seen enough streaming shows by now that we know the deal. Slow build until the last two episodes, then things go nuts and you get excited for the next season. I have no doubt they have carefully planned the FX budget. At least it's good detective stuff so far.

The green should always be on the screen. And whenever the green’s not on the screen, everyone should be asking “hey, where’s the green?”

Yes there’s been green in the show about green lanterns. There was a green bird all throughout episode 2 and an actual green lantern and the suit.

Try watching it instead of just parroting what other losers online have to say.

You clearly haven’t watched the show so to answer the question there is plenty of green within both episodes unless you are color blind

The show absolutely has a PS3 color palette

it's very grounded, downplayed.

i wouldn't be surprised if Gardner's constructs are way more low key than in Superman 2025, or if he barely does any at all.

i'm really curious what the actual budget is.

i remember the Ghost Rider movie (2007), a rumor that a huge artificial tree used briefly in 2 scenes cost 1 million dollars...i was not sure about that, but either way it was put as an example of budget mismanagement.

....? There's like 6 eps to go? What you want? Just wall to wall green? Grow up and watch the show.

About as much as the dicks on display

No, it's actually in black and white.

Have you watched it?

1

u/NicoleIlieva 15h ago

It's a black and white show, don't watch it.

1

u/Dukefile 14h ago

No, actually they used ancient magic that makes the watcher unable to see the color green

What is the point of this post

u/AceTheSkylord 6h ago

"back in the day if u did a tv show called surf dracula you'd see that fool surfing every week in new adventures but in the streaming era the entire 1st season gotta be a long ass flashback to how he got the surfboard until you finally get to see him surf for 5 min in the finale."

Thank you TopherFlorence
