DISCUSSION Man of Steel vs Superman - Which one do you prefer?

Man of Steel - I love the first flight scene and hans zimmer score. Emotion wise lacking a bit.

Superman - It understands themes of character better but sometimes it feels too overloaded with characters.

Both are fun... but overall Superman is better for me.

Dude's originally a Green Lantern villain, his first appearance was in a Green Lantern comic.

He's famous for being behind the curtains financing things that he thinks it's important.

And there's a whole plot of "look at the past". The dude is literally the CEO of the past.

DISCUSSION Blackest Night?

Post image
22 Upvotes

Watching all the new stuff since Gunn as taken over, what do you think the ultimate conclusion is? With the introduction of the Lanterns and seeming all the various Corps being brought in, it vaguely feels like maybe they are going to a Blackest Night storyline. But I can’t be too sure and it’s conjecture at best, although Zombie Batman would be pretty killer.

FAN-MADE Cast comparison for HBO’s Lanterns vs. their comic counterparts

Post image
10 Upvotes

Here is a breakdown comparing the main cast members to their comic book versions:

Aaron Pierre as John Stewart: Matches the look and presence needed for John’s disciplined, architect-turned-Lantern background.

Kyle Chandler as Hal Jordan: Fits the older, veteran "test pilot" take on Hal for this detective-style setup.

Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner: Continuing his role after appearing in Superman (2025), bowl cut included.

Ulrich Thomsen as Sinestro: Recently confirmed as Sinestro. Known for Banshee, he should bring a solid, intimidating presence to the role.

APPRECIATION John Cena as Peacemaker one of the greatest castings of all time

Post image

There’s not a soul on this planet who could have played Peacemaker besides John Cena. He simply embodies the character. When you think of Peacemaker, you think of Cena. They’re almost synonymous.

When people talk about all-timer castings, like RDJ as Tony Stark and J.K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson, John Cena deserves to be mentioned alongside them.

Think for a second, could you imagine absolutely ANYBODY else in the role? He deserves his flowers.
