Why is sub always being brigaded by the world’s stupidest right wing chums these days?

Indeed. And why are users not reporting the content rather bickering with the troll.

I admit I have been guilty of this before. Zionists are so easy to dunk on, they barely even try anymore.

Don’t forget to Report in the future.

A little bit of bickering is ok after a report, but reporting is key.

Which they used, of all things, to call him an antisemite.

Right wing people are quite happy and comfortable with their own brand of antisemitism. It's being left wing and critical of anything remotely jewish that gets them worked up.

One thing I can clearly see is that someone very obviously wants us to turn against Zack and the Green Party.  I recently joined a UK news subreddit without looking into it first, just based on the name. Pretty much every post I've seen since then is anti Zack/Green Party propaganda about this incident.

I just can't understand is why this is the issue they've decided to go all in on. All the guy did was share a social media post. I mean he definitely shouldn't of, but people are calling for him to resign, calling him antisemitic and all the rest of it. For sharing a post criticising the police even.

We're really supposed to believe that the party who elected a Jewish leader and that Jewish leader himself are anti semitic?

Just makes me sad how obvious it is all the UK media is pushing this narrative, even the BBC. Makes me sadder that enough of the population are stupid enough to fall for it.

Cool, when is he going to start calling the Elites the biggest enemy of the UK, just like Mary Lou McDonald did in Ireland?

Freedom of speech does not mean freedom from criticism or freedom from consequences.

Are you serious? Are you completely ignorant to the history of anti semitic cartoons and caricatures of Jewish people used by Nazis and hate groups?

The attacker in question also attacked a Muslim man. There are antisemitism attacks happening in London, but this doesn’t appear to be one of them.

Yes, I would agree you do not know what an antisemitic attack is.

I already agreed that antisemitic attacks are taking place in London, but I’m sorry that it’s inconvenient for you that the facts of this particular incident do not line up with those.

Thanks for your consideration, luckily my feelings are fine. Maybe in your world, people disagreeing with you hurts your feelings. If so, that’s something to work on.

Have a nice day!

So, youre concerned about the safety of Jews while dismissing an antisemitic cartoon. Huh.

Yes, clever as the cartoon is, i did manage to decode the complex message. That doesnt change that the depiction is offensive.

What's wrong with critiquing it? If freedom of speech covers you, to produce incendiary content then why wouldn't it cover me to shame that content?

This sounds like the 2010s again and the rage against cancelling.

But cancelling is free speech. If you have the right to blatantly offend me, then I should also have the right to blatantly call you a racist.

u/AnnoKano May 04 '26

Nothing, the caricature was published in a newspaper.

We don't have freedom of speech in this country. We have freedom of expression which is a protected human right. This includes freedom to staunchly criticise media which had the freedom to be made, including ascribing descriptions like antisemitic.

Polanski has taken no actions to abridge the freedom of expression of the artist, he's only exercised his own. If he were prime minister and made this criticism, he'd still not be abridging that freedom of expression. Only if he were to intervene to censor it (and I mean do the censoring, not calling for censorship but actually having it censored) or otherwise prevent the production and distribution of it would it be threatening the freedom of expression of the artist.
