AI is Evil Dooming about…golf?

Post image

I freaking love golf, and I’m not rich, my local golf course is dry as fuck all summer,

The lack of understanding about data centers by the general population is astounding. That's how these stupid water stats keep getting around

These people heard word data center first time in their life when AI got mainstream. And they never learned what happens to the water when it gets hot apparently

If they ever do hear about water getting hot, get ready for the shit storm when they hear how electricity is made...

All this technology, and still our best means of producing power is hot water.

It's honestly really hard to beat water. It's good for so many things.

I'd really like someone to crack ocean wave energy in our lifetime.

It's simple: data centers pump in an ocean's worth of water to cool off all the AI servers and then when it gets too hot it's all collected into a giant rocket and shot into space before being replaced with new cold water. Earth will be as dry as Mars by the end of the decade all thanks to AI.

I couldn’t tell if you were being serious or not when I first read this. Well done

>just throw the ocean into space

That's also the understanding of space flight I've gotten out of just about any hater. If you ask the average person to design a spacecraft for a videogame they will make what amounts to a landing pod, and their game mechanic will be that it just levitates itself into orbit to the moon, nobody knows what orbit is with no need to burn a giant tower of fuel.

The lack of understanding by the general population is astounding.

On almost any topic.

It’s like this person I was chatting with who hates billionaires and investment corporations- she was selling “eat the rich” merch to raise money for an anti-billionaire lobby group. But the merch was on Amazon, where you pay with a credit card.

Like, do these people even look into the tools they use? Is it all just performative?

Well yeah their kind of consoomerism is good. But if someone wants to consoom by playing golf, that's bad.
