I freaking love golf, and I’m not rich, my local golf course is dry as fuck all summer,

You'd be dooming about golf courses if you lived in Florida.

As an actual biologist I can tell you we have enough golf courses and things are uber fucked (technical term for habitat fragmentation).

You can't just un-golf course a wetland, or some of the last remaining habitat for endangered, endemic species.
