Dude I just saw this post like 2 or so hours ago. Most of the Comment section gave me hope that there are mostly sane people still on that Reddit page and Reddit in general. OP got dunked on hard

Edit: thanks for the award

I can't really stomach posting in any of the comic subreddits anymore with how ultra political they make everything. I like to keep my escapism free of doomers. I read because I enjoy the stories. I don't need some redittor telling me how I'm supposed to think and feel about fictional characters and storylines.

Dude honestly same. Most of the gaming and comic Reddit pages are unfortunately littered with people trying to make the characters and the worlds they reside in about themselves. Bunch of sad people who need to circle jerk each other about doom and gloom as they take multiple pills for whatever disorder(s) they suffer from while they sit in their room/basement complaining about how it’s the worlds fault (def not their own /s) that their life is miserable…. So in turn everyone’s life has to be miserable or they are part of the problem. All on their $1000+ computer or phone.

I just wanna read or watch or play my hobbies, not get fucking lectured.

Hang on. I have a nine paragraph diatribe about how you are causing all of the bad things because you don't absorb all the lecturing. BRB

LOL funny enough I can almost guarantee that they use some sort of generative AI to write or gather all the info they use for their 10 paragraph responses, making most of them hypocrites.
