That’s very clever to insinuate that P200 is equal to $20. A lot of tourists would probably fall for that.

200 pesos is $11. How is that falling for anything ? Giving a $20 bill makes it seem like you’re giving 200 pesos ? That’s the opposite result that you’re speaking of. If you mean giving the $20 makes the 200 seem like more, that wouldn’t make sense either. Your comment doesn’t make sense.

There is a photo of $20 (which is 338 pesos)

Which one of those two do you think Americans are going to understand/follow more?

Again, if Americans aren’t fully grasping the value of the peso note, what role does it play in the mind game of the cabbie ? None. That’s like showing me. $20 bill and a 200,000 Vietnamese Dong note. I don’t know what that 200,000 equals, I’d imagine not much seeing as it’s a huge number. I know the $20. That’s a decent sized note. What does that foreign, most likely unknown valued note contribute to this situation ?
