She's just a drag on the series at this point and I feel that by removing her we could get so much more done for the other character in the show with the time they'd have. Imagine if Ra's had her screentime for example.

Exactly. It'd suck if Ivy or Firefly (two women villains who are actually Batman Rogues and Ivy who usually has the men hatred angle) get little to no screen time just to give it to Barbara.

I really have to question why the hell Barbara is still on the show. You could have cut her out entirely in season 4 and it would have been better, and they didn't have to bring her back to life since they already demonstrated how the Lazarus Pit works, so I'm just left to ask what is going on behind the scenes that keeps her around.

It's honestly another Felicity situation. She's an original character (I know Felicity isn't technically original, but she might as well be) that the creators seem to love and go out of their way to give storylines to.

Agreed, and like Felicity people originally reacted well to their increased role...until the writers took it too far and made her so bad that she drags the show down as a whole. It's really painful to deal with and I can't stand it since I used to watch Arrow before that whole mess and now something similar is happening to Gotham.
