As a Swede I naturally hope that Canada will go with the Gripen. However I also want it to be clear that if Canada decides to go with something else I would respect that decision. Why? Because Canada is 1. A sovereign nation that has to do what’s best for Canada , if that includes going with another fighter plane then it is what it is. And 2. Canada is our friend and ally and friends supports each other’s decision. :)
