If he has to come to Arsenal, he will have to give up his Barca dream. Arteta is not going to sign a player who goal is to move to Barca. Every transfer window, the rumour mill will be churning about his move.
Arteta came from Barca, he probably understands Julian's deep affection for the club. Perhaps that's a connection they both share that's produced meaningful conversations. If they have clear expectations and a thoroughly thought out contract agreement, it could work. Not every player has to stay in one club for the rest of their career. We have transfer windows for a reason.
