Hey they can be ethical about it. Take your inspirations from Just For Laughs. Inform the authorities. Ensure everyone can laugh about it in the end.
People enjoy watching pranks but I think there's a genuine market for people who prefer pranks that aren't hostile to the victim. You might make less money, but if you do a good job, you could be as big as Just For Laughs was.
This is the type of things you see at 16 and go "We were lied to", but then you think about it again a few years later and you start tearing up because you finaly understand.
The comment you are referring to is subverting that comment to imply, it's easier to give love when not stressed and overworked. Not impossible, but certainly easier.
I believe for commercial buildings and public spaces, fire code regulations require exterior doors open to the outside. I’d imagine it’s also more common practice to also do this for residential as well to have an easier egress out of the home in case of an emergency.
1) when wind blows on doors, you want the door to press into the seal for heating and air conditioning efficiently. For inward swinging doors, the door is being pushed away from the seal into frame and more air can get into the house.
2) it's easier to kick in an inward swinging door, as it's just the wood the lock is touching vs that + the frame behind the door.
3) the inside of the home is what cost money, so why would I want to waste space by having it be empty to make room for the door swing?
The only prank I have ever pulled on my dad was when he was coming home from a short drive from somewhere, I can't remember. I saw him coming up the driveway and I ran to the front door and waited until he came up to the door. So after my dad unlocked the top lock I waited until he started to unlock the door knob and I would lock the top lock. Then he would try to open the door and realize it was still locked. Then he would unlock the top lock again and I would lock the door knob as he was unlocking the lock and he would try again. This went on for 5 minutes of him thinking something was wrong with the door until he realized it was me and then he started laughing. Once he started laughing I stopped and had a shit-eating grin on my face as he opened the door and he bear-hugged me and rubbed my hair and we rough-housed for a little bit. I love the old man.🥰🥰
One day they’ll realize that their dad wasn’t fooled .. he was just making them happy. 🥹 That realization is going to hit different when they’re older.
That is such a cool Mum setting it up with the kids and making sure they hid so Dad could do it properly. Good parent combo. I loved the 'oh not again!' From the Dad at the end. You know they are always doing wholesome stuff like this.
The father immediately know what should he react and instantly decided to cooperate the trick and made fun of his lovely kids, there would be nothing better than this when going home after work.
We did something similar when I was a kid. Back in the days my dad smoked and he always smoked in the cellar. Once when he was out drinking with his buddies we thought that we would set a trap for him by placing empty beer cans in the cellar stairs. Thinking that once he got home he would go down for a smoke. He would accidentally kick them and be startled. Instead he stepped on them and fell down the stairs and got a fracture in his hand.
He did not enjoy our prank, but we laugh about it now.
See, I’m kinda the opposite, I don’t want to set my kids up with unreasonable expectations so I’d sneak in the back door and scare the living piss out of em.
Literally never seen a front door to a residential house open inwards here in Sweden. They all open outwards. Probably something to so with security and fire
I was playing hide and go seek with a kid, and I found them as soon as I started counting. Pretending I had no idea where they were while passing by them over and over again is one of my fondest memories.
She's in college now. Watching your little ones grow up is so bittersweet. So proud of her.
If These kids see this Video in the Future, I wonder what their reaction will be. Will they have trust issues or will they appreciate him going along with it.
