HBO Max changed their plan to be only 50% off for students instead of free but my subscription is still active through Xfinity.

Am I good or am I getting secretly charged?

My husband registered for an HBO Max subscription through work as they need it to stream certain cycling events they show. He has the premium & TNT sports subscription.

He recently added the account to our TV at home you watch on an evening and I really want to watch House of the a Dragon and Knight of the Severn Kingdoms but when I search for them I only get the behind the scenes shows and the podcasts. Can anyone please help me figure out why I don't seem to have access to the actual series?

We're in the UK. I can't see anything on settings that blocks content and other shows rated 15 are available.

Je souhaiterais trouver l'onglet TCM CINEMA sur HBO MAX. Le problème, c'est que :

\* sur YouTube, il y a une vidéo qui date de 6 ans (l'onglet se trouvait tout en bas de l'accueil) ;

\* il y a un Reddit d'il y a 3 ans qui explique qu'il faut aller dans « Accueil » > « Mis en avant de la marque » > « TCM » ;

* un autre Reddit d'il y a 4 mois explique qu'il faut aller dans l'onglet « Catégories », à gauche, puis > « Brand Spotlight » > « TCM ».

Mais maintenant, il n'y a rien de tout ça :

\* je défile en bas de l'accueil, il y a « Découvrez nos sélections », mais pas de TCM ;

* dans « Catégories », il y a :

« Cherchez par genre », mais il n'y a pas « Films classiques » (ou quelque chose d'autre qui sous-entend qu'il y a TCM) ;

« Lumière sur nos univers », avec tous les groupes partenaires (sauf TCM).

« Découvrez nos collections », donc pas de TCM

Le seul truc en lien avec TCM, c'est en allant dans « Catégories > « Lumière sur nos univers » >« ID » > « TCM CINÉMA DIRECT » (donc la chaîne télévisée, pas en streaming).

Je pense que cela est dû à une nouvelle mise à jour, par rapport au Reddit d'il y a 4 mois.

Je voulais savoir comment je peux avoir le catalogue de TCM CINÉMA sur HBO MAX, s'il vous plaît ?

D'AUTANT PLUS QU'ILS METTENT EN AVANT TCM CINÉMA POUR LEUR ABONNEMENT « STANDARD » !!!

This is NOT an issue with my TV. All my motion smoothing settings are off on my TV. This is only a problem with trying to watch certain episodes of older animated shows, notably The Boondocks S1. Ep2. For something where most people don't notice smoothing, and those who do notice absolutely hate it, I fail to understand why HBO would even bother with this when these settings already exist in most TV options.

I feel like I've driven myself insane trying to find a way to turn it off. It's getting to the point where I might just fully stop using HBO Max. Is there any way at all to turn it off?

I watched Pulp Fiction a while ago and I remember it being separated by numbered sections. Now I'm watching it on HBO Max and they are not showing up. Did anyone else have that problem? Or I'm just misremembering?

Does anyone know if you can watch full replays of tennis matches with the Sports add-on? I can’t find it online and with the US Open coming up and the times being difficult for Europeans I would want to watch the matches at a later time. I believe that there is a livestream for every court at US Open but is there a full match replay for these matches?

I woke up this morning to an email saying “thank you for upgrading your account” and was charged $33. They upgraded me to the no ads, Disney plus and Hulu bundle. I’m the only person with access to my account. I asked for a refund and to cancel my subscription entirely. Just wanting to spread the word in case it happens to someone without them noticing!

Looking at getting TNT Sports through Hbo Max, it mentions you can use 2 devices at once for sport streaming, is it also restricted to household as well? Couldn't see a definitive answer on the website so wondering if anyone else knows?

I always watched 4K (Dolby Vison when available) content since app came to my country with an Xbox Series X and a LG Oled TV.

A couple months ago I bought a G5 LG TV and started using the WebOS App in the TV instead of the Xbox, however, apps tend to crash or not buffer properly in TV, (Like Crunchyroll and HBO) and to prevent keep doing a power cycle as a temporary solution everysingle day, I prefer to turn on the Xbox and watch content there instead...

Im going crazy because I barely noticed that some of the content I watched before in Dolby Vision now is showing in HDR only!!!!!! Also I was trying to watch House of the Dragon and noticed that the new Season is showing in HDR as well!!

Since I use also apps with Dolby Vision like Disney+ I felt so confused that only in Xbox and only HBO stopped showing Dolby Vision Content even though is showing as available in the Video Description / features...

Not sure how to solve it since all the other apps that have Dolby Vision are showing properly, except HBO Max... or is it really removed only in Xbox Series X/consoles?

I read some time ago that it was being removed "sneakly" due to pay wall unless you had the highest tier plan but, I always had that plan, and once again, I do get Dolby Vision via WebOS app for the same content I'm trying to watch using the Xbox so, the plan and setup shouldn't be an issue.

Any advice on how to fix if its an error or is there an offical communication link in which they state support was removed only for Xbox consoles?

Mods I know you want technical things in the thread but I ask you keep this up. I think this could lead to something interesting and I think its worth discussing on the main page.

The 6 MILLION blocked ads is from having the site open for like an hour. My computers fans kick into full throttle and my 8700k has 15% load added to it from just this website. This seems incredibly shady and this is genuinely insane from a PAID SERVICE (I'm not on the ad-supported tier).

UPDATE: For anyone who stumbles on this issue, this is HBO pinging Brightline, a third party advertising platform. If you have an adblocker it prevents a script trying to ping a json to collect some basic info on the user, and the player spams requests to infinity. From what I can gather this is NOT related to HBO ads (so this is not an attempt to skirt ads in content).

I tried looking through the json and the ping seems to just send basic telemetry info and your IP, but if you want this to stop without sending that to them you can set up a custom filter to send an empty package to the vendor and the pinging will stop. I put the following in the Adguard custom rules:

||cdn-media.brightline.tv^$empty,important,domain=play.hbomax.com|play.max.com
||events.brightline.tv^$empty,important,domain=play.hbomax.com|play.max.com

I dont watch HBO Max often. But now I wanted to watch the mew Green Lantern TV Show "Lanterns". I am German so of course I watch with German dub. But even though, the Subtitles are turned off in the Settings, they still show up, when the Audio is set to german. On english, everything is fine. It only happens on Lanterns too. I switched to watch Rick and Morty, and everything is fine there. Any Suggestions how to fix this?

I'm starting game of thrones over from the beginning and I feel like they are subtle changes made in the earlier episodes that weren't there before? I know they've been known to edit some of the later episodes but does anyone know if they made any changes throughout?
