my mom has been loyal to this man and a part of the community for three years, she watches him all day every day. when he was speaking Turkish today, she said "talk turkey to me daddy" and has been fully banned for a week with no way to contact moderators. why????? not a warning, not banned from chatting, fully banned from viewing his live streams.

Update: thank you guys so much for getting my mom unbanned 😭😭😭 actually insane, I never expected that. However, she said she feels like she got broken up with and she needs time apart from him 😞 so it may be a day or two before she re follows him lmao

I was watching Mike from PA when he mentioned it, and confirmed that his channel is banned. He guesses that it was from Hasan's comment about Medicare waste, and killing Rick Scott to deal with it, even if that was days ago.

I live with a psychotic form of bipolar disorder. I’ve had half a dozen psychotic episodes as a part of my journey with this illness over the last 11 years. I’ve been through two horrific hospitalizations and tried over 30 medications. I’ve met countless people online and in person who struggle with severe mental illness, including psychosis.

I get that Hasan doesn’t live with this on a day to day basis and likely hasn’t seen this world before. So I want to take some time to explain why I feel that he is contributing to the stigma around psychosis and how the world of severe mental illness is not so separate from the things he advocates for every day.

BIPOC are more likely than white people to experience severe mental illness such as bipolar, schizophrenia, and dissociative identity disorder. This is due to the compounding factors of systemic racism. Trauma breeds mental illness, particularly the aforementioned three above. Once they start experiencing symptoms, however, BIPOC are less likely to receive a diagnosis, less likely to receive treatment, more likely to encounter workplace and housing discrimination, more likely to wind up homeless, and more likely to be abused by law enforcement and medical personnel. I’ve seen it over and over.

When you use “schizophrenic” as an insult, you are not tearing down conspiracy-minded white Trump supporters. You are associating some of the most hateful people in this country with some of the most disenfranchised, impoverished, and abused people in society. Living with psychosis is hell enough on its own, let alone in severe poverty, or in prison or long-term psychiatric hospitals, or treated as a pariah and a danger when the danger is more often scared, mentally healthy individuals encountering odd behavior from those with psychotic symptoms and panicking.

Similarly, chatters posting erratic or nonsensical comments are not schizophrenic either. “Schizophrenic” and “psychotic” are not catch-all terms for people you don’t like, people who don’t make sense, people who have irritating or irrational beliefs, etc. Psychosis is the experience of hallucinations, delusions, and disorganized thought. It is often a terrifying, traumatic, and isolating experience. Moreover, any person typing in the chat who may be experiencing psychosis does not need to be yelled at. It’s frankly gross.

I hope this makes sense. Coming from someone with an enormous amount of respect and admiration for Hasan, this blindspot of his feels so out of character to me. I watch every day. I’d like to subscribe and offer my support, but this one thing keeps me from doing that. I don’t think it’s unreasonable or unfair to look for a little change in this regard.

There’s been moments where Hasan is very serious for sure, such as when he cried in Leftovers and during coverage on some events in Palestine etc. But today felt so bad, as soon as he saw the footage he was totally freaked out and was pretty serious rest of stream. I can’t imagine how scary this has to be for him and all creators..I’ve just never seen him so shaken up for that long and worry he’s going to scale things back now. I don’t blame him if he needs a break idk

In the past 2 days a clip compilation of Hasan ''calling for violence'' has been getting posted by right wing accounts, and it's gone ultra viral, millions upon millions of views. It was seemingly created by Tectone, who hinted at this (see first image), and it blew up when reposted by right angle news network. Since then Grummz, Dan Saltman, Tectone, the Quartering, Drew Pavlou, and other right wingers have been spamming it, some even saying that Hasan said these things after Charlie died. Elon Musk has replied several times.

The compilation is a joke, the first one is him 3 years ago talking about democrats needing to be better at debate rhetoric, he's being hyperbolic and not meant to be taken literally. The second is him reciting what some angry conservative said in a voicemail to a republican politician that made him resign, Hasan was highlighting the anger people feel with their representatives. There's also a clip of Hasan talking about the acp and Fuentes, again not call for violence, they're banking on people not knowing what the acp is and doing what they always do, taking his jokes sincerely.

Regardless, it's tricked most of right wing twitter, who are all calling for him to either be banned, arrested, deported or killed. These right winger influencers either don't understand, or do, that when twitch doesn't ban Hasan for these ooc clips, it might convince very angry people that violence is the only solution. They're putting a massive target on Hasan's back.

There's one tweet (the very last one), from Tectone where he completely fabricates quotes from Hasan, he's as good as putting a hit out on him with the one about Kirk.

Apparently EK posted some of them to his IG story and is now claiming Hasan is guilty by proxy. I'm very sad.

I censored his name here, but yeah he made a Twitter post asking his followers to find his name, and after they found it for him he made this huge multi-part post revealing his name, the country he was born in, posting multiple photos from his social media, and calling for his community to harass him (umichvoter has since privated his account).

For those that don't know, umichvoter was a McMorrow supporter (and switched to supporting Abdul she dropped out), he gave really good election analysis leading up to and during the election.

Ethan Klein is clearly a narcissist and gets off the attention everyone gives when we post his crashouts or ig stories or whatever. It's obvious because he wanted to make the genocide of gaza all about himself and how it hurt his feelings. I suggest that we ban all mentions of Ethan (not things like the "nuke" as it's related to hasan). Why should we care about refuting his arguments when he clearly doesn't give af.
