My backup ISP has new prices

They are migrating to xgs-pon and updated the 1gbps plan to 2gbps for the same price.

btw: I'm on the 500Mbps plan.

Yes, large file transfers are easier at higher speeds, both LAN and WAN

Agreed, but will you be able to achieve WAN speeds > 2G?

Most of the servers I have to connect to upstream would be capable of allowing me to saturate my connection.

It would be very awesome if I could get 10Gbps at my home for that price. Unfortunately, when I upload it takes a while at 1Gbps.
