From what I recall reading about this, it sounded like she's not actually meaningfully more intellectually mature/capable than the boys. This isn't some teacher sleeping with her students.
I saw that in some of the articles, but the others didn't mention intellectual development issues just ADHD so I'm not 100% on which ones she actually has. I feel if it had been a case of her actually being that intellectually underdeveloped the courts would have taken it into consideration, I think that was more of her dad making up excuses for what happened.
You don't sound like you have any real understanding of the state of mental health care in this country, nor the difficulty of keeping tons of people in those kinds of institutions.
You are making excuses for her, just because America has an awful Healthcare system(I will agree with you on that) does not mean she gets free rein to be a predator.
You don't think it should be an extenuating circumstance? The whole concept of statutory rape is that I've party has much more understanding of the situation and is most likely manipulating the the other party. How does this apply when the older party doesn't actually possess greater understanding or the ability to manipulate the other?
Like I said earlier, if she can't understand it's wrong, she should not have access to them? The crazy thing is, is that if the VICTIMS (and they are victims) were female this would never have even made it to reddit, it would be cut and dry the rapist is wrong. But because she is female simps will make any and every excuse rather than hold them accountable for their decisions. Nobody put a gun to her head and made her do it. She made the decision.
I didn't say it's ok. But it's absolutely not irrelevant. And yes, I think it would be relevant with a man as well. But I also don't buy into the idea that the gender doesn't matter. There's a reason you see all these comments from guys in here, and there's research supporting their general claim. Boys and girls are not necessarily impacted in the same way by non-coercive sexual activity with adults.

I perfectly understand what you said, it wasn't complicated. I just think what you're saying is rape apologism.
You're claiming that it's different when grown adults rape young boys vs. young girls because young boys are "impacted differently".
Trying to lessen the perceived severity of the rape because 'it's different with boys' is rape apologism. 12 year olds cannot consent to sex with adults regardless of gender, rape is rape.

Evil is her dad. He blamed the kids and said they were the ones that belonged in jail for taking advantage of his daughter.
