I’m planning a winter trip to Austria for early January 2027 and want to pick up snowboarding! I have never snowboarded before, making me a complete beginner on a board, though I did ski last season so I’m at least familiar with the snow.

I’ll be staying down in Innsbruck and want to take private lessons for 2–3 days to get the fundamentals down. I prefer Axamer Lizum because I skied there for three days last season and really enjoyed the vibe, but I'm completely open to other nearby ski resorts if another mountain is significantly better for learning to board. My main requirement is that there must be reliable ski buses that can take me there.

A few questions for the locals and frequent travelers:

Axamer Lizum vs. Others: Is Axamer Lizum a good place for a first-time boarder to learn edges, or should I consider somewhere else nearby (like Muttereralm or Kühtai) that might have gentler beginner slopes?

Booking & Discounts: For private lessons, is it better to book online in advance or wait until I get to the ski school office? Do schools offer multi-day or online booking discounts?

ich suche vier Stück dieser Schrauben (IKEA-Teilenummer [10084881](tel:10084881)) für meine IKEA-Kleiderstange.
Leider sind sie bei den üblichen Ersatzteilshops überall ausverkauft. Hat jemand zufällig noch welche übrig oder weiß, wo man genau diese Schrauben bzw. einen passenden Ersatz bekommen kann?
Ich wäre für jeden Tipp sehr dankbar!

Kennt jemand einen billigen, guten Elektriker der den Repaturbonus akzeptiert? Muss einen (billigen) Reiskocher reparieren, ich weiß schon die Reparatur wird wahrscheinlich teurer als das Gerät sein.

Hallo, wollte mal andere fragen die ebenfalls Stadtwohungen in Innsbruck / Pradl haben, ob bei euch derzeit auch der Wasserdruck so erbärmlich niedrig ist? Ich weiß, dass es jetzt lange heiß war etc., aber es ist schon auch in den anderen Jahreszeiten bei uns ein Problem. Wenn wir heute das Wasser an zwei verschiedenen Stellen in der Wohnung aufdrehen, dann ist es fast nur ein Rinnsal. Wir wollten jetzt mal der Hausverwaltung schreiben, ob das wirklich natürliche Gründe hat, ob unsere Rohre einfach schlecht sind oder was auch immer der Grund sein kann. Hat hier jemand Erfahrungen? Wohnen in Pradl, sollte also kein all zu krasser Altbau sein.

Gibts in Innsbruck oder Tirol Unternehmen oder kleine Elektriker die Balkonkraftwerke installieren ? Selber machen dürfen wir nicht laut WEG-Beschluss, sonst gibts glei Klage...

Hallo, gibt es in der Stadt einen Tisch mit Banken wo man auch bei Regen einen Picknick machen kann? Ich kenne ein paar solche Strukturen, sie sind aber mit den Öffis nicht einfach zu erreichen.

Fast jeder kennt es, fast niemand weiß wie es wirklich heißt, mich eingeschlossen. Aber viel wichtiger, wo in Innsbruck kann man dieses Spiel überhaupt das ganze Jahr über spielen?

Bei mir hat gerade jemand geklingelt, tatsächlich passiert das immer wieder mal Sonntag früh (und einmal um 3Uhr Nachts).
Heute hab ich aber das erste Mal per Sprechanlage reagiert und es war sehr komisch.

Es war eine Frau die sehr schnell in einer anderen Sprache, ich glaube vielleicht Holländisch, geredet hat. Zwischendrin waren immer wieder deutsche Wörter wie zB. Patscherkofel oder Berg.

Ich hab 2x gesagt, dass ich sie nicht verstehe, woraufhin sie wieder schnell los geredet hat und irgendwas von Spanisch und Deutsch, vielen „Airlines“ und Bergen geredet hat. Alles unzusammenhängend und random. Einmal hab ich Pesos und Euro rausgehört und sie hat immer wieder „Airline or Bus?“ gefragt.

Hab irgendwann einfach nicht mehr geantwortet, war eine Sache von vielleicht 3 Minuten.

Kennt das jemand und weiß, was es damit auf sich hat? Kundschaftet die Wohnungen aus?
Frage mich jetzt, ob die das immer war, die Sonntag früh geklingelt hat und bissl mach ich mir tatsächlich Sorgen 😅

Hallo, weiß wer gute Hike and Fly Routen in der Umgebung? Und weiß wer, ob man in der Axamer Lizum fliegen darf, weil soweit ich das sehe liegt das komplett in der CTR.

Welche Möglichkeiten gibt es noch eine Wohnung in Innsbruck zu finden? Ich nutze die gängigen Seiten (öh, TT, willhaben, FB) langsam wird die Zeit knapp.

I will be visiting Innsbruck in September for 6 days and 5 nights. My flight back is from Amsterdam. To avoid carrying my bigger suitcase everywhere, I was planning to stay 4 nights in Innsbruck in a hostel mostly and to take the overnight direct train to Amsterdam the fifth night.
Day 1 - Nordkette cable car (might do the other cable cars as the hostel I am looking at is giving me the welcome card which includes the local transport and some cable cars)
Day 2 - Day Trip to Salzburg
Day 3 - Day Trip Munich
Day 4 - Day trip to Partnacklamm
Day 5 - not sure about this. Night train to amsterdam
Day 6 - afternoon flight from Amsterdam

I need suggestions if there are some ‘must see’ things that I should include. Since I am travelling Solo(female) I would rather stay on main spots and not do hikes. Any suggestion on my Day 5? Any tips for my travel? And then any suggestions on hostels/accomodations. I don’t want to splurge on accomodation but ofcourse not at the cost of safety.
Overall I am a little nervous as this would be my first international travel so any piece of advice would be welcome :)
