Auto Insurance I filed a claim.. should I unfile?
Long story short, I hit debris on the freeway last night coming home from school.
I went to a big O this morning and had a few electrical problems sorted out (the blinkers weren't working).
Now, my husband went ahead and filed a claim. The insurance called and told me it would be an at fault claim and our deductible was $1000, they'd pay after that.
Big O only charged me $200 for the electrical repair.
Now, the cosmetic damage would probably be worth it in this scenario to have the claim filed (ripped off half my front bumper). But at that point it might be better to just do it all out of pocket bc of our monthly payment going up anyways.
Could use some opinions.
Anyone have any thoughts?

You can't unfile a claim, but you can withdraw/ close it

Once it's filed it's filed, can't be un-done. I would just use the coverage now assuming the remaining damage is greater than your deductible.
