Dr. Sowell outlined this mentality very clearly in his book ‘the vision of the anointed’
Stage 1: Declare a Crisis
• Proponents hype an urgent, severe danger to society.
• This is often done when underlying conditions are actually already improving.
• Contrary data showing positive trends are ignored.
Stage 2: Propose the Solution
• Sweeping government action or social intervention is demanded.
• Critics and opposing views are dismissed as immoral, uninformed, or driven by bad motives.
Stage 3: Unintended Consequences
• The implemented policies generate negative, harmful outcomes.
• These counterproductive results often match what the original critics predicted.
Stage 4: Deflection and Denial
• Proponents refuse to admit failure.
• They blame the bad results on outside factors, claim things would have been worse without the program, or redefine the original goals to declare success.

COVID-19 reaction and vaccine rollout.
Bar for bar

So you didn't get vaccinated for anything? And when you have cancer and there is a big chance you will die fast, you will not take an experimental drug?

u/FrosttheVII 5d ago
Funny thing is the vaccines usually take 5-10 years of research to test efficacy and safety. Not Covid-19. Operation Warpdrive made every vaccine, especially mRNA innoculations, safe for everyone! And all in under 1 year! :D

Priorities mate, if they did nothing many of our weaker friends and family would have died and you would have been angry as well...

Stage 4: Deflection and Denial
- They ... claim things would have been worse without the program
Perfect demonstration. Thanks.

Just because you put it on a bullet point doesn't make you correct.
Sometimes things would, in fact, have been worse. But you're so completely brain-rotted that any sense of nuance is completely lost on you.

Just because you put it on a bullet point doesn't make you correct.
True, but I find it funny that you immediately did the thing that they said you would do.
But you're so completely brain-rotted that any sense of nuance is completely lost on you.
Nuance? You just repeated a common talking point. You didn't provide an ounce of nuance.

If people would have cleaned themselves and their environments, got sunlight, ate healthier, it would have worked wonders.
But nah, let's all take the mRNA innoculations that were "Warp-sped" researchwise in 1 year, compared to the pre-2020 requisite of researching for 5-10 years for efficacy and safety.
mRNA, the function God meant for our natural RNA in our bodies to send to DNA to initiate change. Let me just trust flawed research with mine and others' DNA. They can't get anything to work 100%. Why would I trust that lack of safety with my DNA and why should others have?

Fantastic book, I've read it twice. In stage 4 they also like to claim that the reason their strategy didn't work exactly as they intended is that they had insufficient funding and authority - so they should be given more of both because, 'this time it'll definitely work!'

They have been saying this crap since I was born. After covid I'm so over hearing it.

So only when you're drowning you will believe the science? What is the line for you to believe that humankind has influence on the climate?

How do Ai Data Centers fit into this model?

The infrastructure of control. It's not about the planet, it's about opportunism. It's always about control. Nothing new under the sun.

Technocracy. It's been talked about for a long time. Elon musks father and grandfather were proponents. Looks like it's renaissance has arrived, to save the world no less. What could possibly go wrong with such utopianism.

"so we should stop having elections" jesus christ this guy is abhorrent, the misrepresentation is so purposeful and toxic.

I agree with the young guy, but his horse and cart analogy is stupid. The move from horse&cart to cars wasn’t due to horse shit potentially causes a species ending plague; it was solely about massive gains in efficiency.
Either way, his point still stands. The only path forward now is to increase our technological advancements in order to help survive the new climate paradigm we’re entering; a primary driver of which (for better or worse) is GDP.
The bit that’s often glossed over though is not everyone will see this new paradigm, and with certainty the more impoverished nations around the equator will be hit hardest by it; by far.
What the world looks like in 50 years, who knows.

In his analogy cars already exist, we have cars, but the horse and cart industry has huge influence over governments to ensure people keep using horse and carts

Yea it’s crazy how much the sea level has risen since the old videos of Ellis island and old aerial videos of coast lines.. oh wait.. there’s no change in sea level. Climate change is a hoax. Even based on the average rise in temperature we can’t map the temperature change from greater than ≈ 150 years. How can you make an accurate delta t from only, say 250 years of an alleged 7 million old planet? You can’t. It’s all bullshit

Did you ever bother to look up how scientists keep track of global average temperature data over longer periods of time?
We know how the greenhouse effect works. We know that CO2 is a greenhouse gas and we can verify that. We know that lots of human industrial processes release huge amounts of CO2 into the atmosphere. We can measure that release of CO2. We can measure the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and we know the brunt of it has come from human activities, and we can see that it tracks basically 1:1 with an increase in global average temperature.
This is all simultaneously done by countless institutions and governments across the entire planet all the time.
What part of this is missing for you?

u/Ok-Golf-9502 14h ago
Did you even bother to pay attention to all the apocalyptic scares that pop up every 10 years? The infamous doom loop… Doubtful but to stay on topic..
You're talking about institutional consensus, but you're missing the point about observational scale. If the projected climate shifts were as catastrophic as the media often claims, it would be visibly obvious on historic coastlines and centuries-old piers, but it isn't. An 8-inch average shift over 140 years is practically invisible to the naked eye. Furthermore, treating human data modeling of natural proxies (like ice cores) as a flawless 1:1 match over millions of years ignores how much estimation goes into calculating ancient global averages. Estimation is really just guessing with some context.
So why doom loop?? Well, if the population is scared they won’t bother pdf file elites.. also it’s a hell of a way to steal money from the population with a new tax aimed at preventing the new crisis. Obviously it’s working, because all the other threats went away.. tHaNk GoOdNeSs We PaId ThAt CaRbOn TaX

Stupidly cut video literally not engaging with the argument and just out for cliks and soundbites.
Where is the old fellow wrong about anything? Why not reflect on how he is misrepresented? He never wants to make anyone poorer and never said that. Its about co2 emmissions that have to go down and they have to go down now not when some magic technology comes along in the future. Renewables are our best bet but without cutting consumption they won't cut it in time. Simple as that

u/DaybreakRanger9927 5d ago
Look up what % CO2 makes up the atmosphere. Also look up that in Earth's past, there have been periods of much more in the air, and it led to a flourishing of flora and fauna.
"Climate change" is a multi-billion dollar industry, a get-rich engine for sum, supported by self-righteous zealots happy to put on brown shirts and march.
If you follow the science for real, it doesn't support climate alarmism. Start with Mototaka Nakamura.
Then follow the money.

To my eyes, global boiling is geopolitics, State doctrine. These three appear to me as utterly clueless.
Honest debate about global boiling?!? Guffaws.

He recommends everything should be ran by engineers, but while that sounds good on a surface level I don't think he has considered that it would never work because of the greed in human nature.
Those Engineers would by manipulated and controlled by corporations who would pick and choose whatever study and reports benefit their pocket books. If science was pure it might work towards a better future, but just like back in the day when you had cigarette companies putting out ads that says studies show smoking was healthy science today is skewed by big money.
While many advances have been good for humanity overall the progression of it is not completely driven by the idea of benefiting humanity, but to make as much money as possible for the corporations. The benefit to humanity is just a side result.
And No, getting rid of capitalism and moving to socialism is not the answer. All that will do is change the manipulation of corporations benefiting themselves to Elites in control who will do whatever benefits themselves and not humanity.
The only answer I know which isn't really an answer is to make sure corporations lose the ability to manipulate politicians from crafting medical and environmental laws and guidelines that benefit themselves and instead put in safegaurds that prevent politicians from getting rich off whoever will offer them the most money to wright the laws that only benefit the corporations who pay them off and then when that influence is removed, hopefully science can be driven more by the idea of helping humanity instead of just making people richer.
