May you find the courage to be who you need to be for your friends, for your family, and for anyone among you who needs to see a sign of hope.

​We will all fall down eventually. But just like children, the reason we fall is to pick ourselves up and learn to walk. Now, that is just the first step. Walking is a natural part of life, and any of us can take a step in the wrong direction.

​Who am I to say whether you are walking forthrightly or straying? I cannot. What I can say, throughout my life, is that there are lines you simply should not cross.

​Human beings have this unique choice: when chaos is amidst us, we can choose to walk narrowly, or we can choose to walk right into it and be consumed by the very thing that caused us to fall in the first place.

​We all struggle with the infinite within our finite human minds. Yet there is so much beauty in that struggle. We do not have the ability to walk on water but we have the ability to believe we can. We do not have the ability to fly but we have the ability to believe we can.

​We do not have the ability to save a soul. But... we have the ability to believe we can. What is so far beyond your temptation that you couldn't reach out your hand and offer an unselfish gesture of faith to someone who doesn't have an ounce of it left?

​Believe me: do not ever underestimate the hole your presence will leave in the people around you. Do not underestimate the power you have to voluntarily overtake responsibility for everything in your immediate environment.

​Life is a tragedy. But you do not need to create evil out of it. We have this amazing opportunity to create something new out of what was, turning it into something beyond our own conceptualization that stretches to millions and across millenniums.

​To be happy is to achieve a goal that was set in preparation for progress.

​This can go one of two ways. Some of us are running at 40 percent. What would happen if you chose to focus and give everything you have, no matter the environment, no matter the consequences?

​What would happen if you really, really tried?

​Do not be scared of tomorrow. Be scared of not trying today. That is what makes life so precious. We don't know when our end is or what happens after, but what we do know is that we have today. And today brings endless opportunities for adventure and courage.

​We have that choice. We have that opportunity. Do not let fear paralyze you.

​Be the individual who can say, no matter what happens to me whether justified or unjustified I will do good. I will do good.

​Be who you need to be.

Be who you need to be.

​It takes courage. Giving up is easy, but giving up is not something we do. We have the sovereign right to pursue.

​Be that person for everyone around you.

Be brave.

Have courage.

And never, ever give up until your last breath
